I cannot believe he missed my favorite quirk of this car: to adjust the rear view mirrors, there's no R/L selector, the car CAN TELL which one you're looking at and you just press to adjust.

Doug has become the most influential / authoritative car reviewer in the world. It’s so fun to see.

Has anyone noticed Doug being too easily impressed lately? I recall a few other cars were called “ultimate” recently

The outside looks a little funky, but I love that interior.

For a car that is shaped and designed to solely reduce drag, I'm surprised they didn't include honeycomb fenders to calm the air like Subaru did with the WRX. 🤔

How on earth have they made one of the most luxurious and expensive electric sedans on the market look like it is a 15k Kia from 10 years ago on the outside haha (This is rhetorical, obviously its the lack of gap between the wheels and A/C pillars)

I think it's more the lack of style on the exterior, it's a very bland looking car.

Kind of amazing how much they are getting away with. You cant touch my phone while driving thats distracting....but the entire dash of your car can be an interactive computer screen with multiple menus and the interior can be filled with bunches of LED lights that can shift colors while driving.

Looks more like a Buick than a Mercedes

The car should come with automatic screen cleaning because i can imagine it being a headache to keep clean of fingerprints all the time.

I appreciate that Doug's reviews are more about "quirks and features" and don't emphasize the driving so much, but this time I think he went a bit too far - he doesn't mention at all about how the car drives! When he finally gets in the car in the last 2 minutes of the video, he only talks about his general thoughts, nothing about the driving, handling, comfort, noise etc.

Here in Germany, this thing is a pretty big deal. It has been praised to have superior range to almost every other EV today with claims over 700 km (435 mi) which it actually sometimes does. Of course, german reviews of german cars are always a little biased so it is interesting to see the Doug review. Even as a Tesla guy, I consider the EQS a success. It fills its gap in the EV market and targets a slightly different group than Tesla - of course with a higher price tag. I am quite astonished, that there was quite no marketing for this car in the US, since it has been widely advertised in Europe. But even here, the looks of the EQS are also subject to discussions in the car world - I consider it kind of futuristic. I think more cars with a radical aerodynamic shape will follow and people might get used to it, since performance will be merged with efficiency in the future. Big aggressive grills will be 2010's design.

The front styling of the car isn’t bad looking tbh but overall styling is bleh. The interior and tech is amazing though

Since this is the last Doug video I'll be watching in 2021, I have decided to give him a like for it. Happy new year, Doug, to you and yours, continue to stay safe, and thanks for bringing your trademark joy and passion to reviewing all sorts of cars and trucks and SUVs this year. Hope 2022 is better for you than 2021 was.

Doug, please consider discussing max charging speeds and charging curves for electric cars, they are very impactful and should be considered when deciding between vehicles!

The way Doug talks when mentioning luxury. I'd love to see him in a fancy designer clothing store working as an employee for one day. He would be quirkiest feature of the store that day.
