My first Tissot - daily wear for about four months now - blue dial with rubber strap. Haven’t timed it exactly, but stays nearly dead on to cell phone daily - never needed to adjust so far. Great watch - zero regrets.
I picked one of these up,preowned for $320. The previous owner bought it for a wedding and wore it one time. I believe him because it was completely pristine. It keeps time within COSC specs and the lume lasts nearly all night. I was not expecting BGW9 lume to last as well as it does!
Great addition with the 80 hour power reserve. Pity companies don't focus on making their automatic watches more accurate. After all, it is a timepiece.
Had it for over a year and very happy. Classy looking everyday watch. The numbers are more subdued (but still easily legible) which I prefer as alot of bezel watches with pronounced numbers look to busy.
I went out and got this instead of a citizen eco drive as I already have another citizen. This watch is a bang for the buck and amazing in all aspects. Highly reccomended.
Wow, great overview and review. Most places doing a review of a product that they are selling just mention the good stuff. This video really kept it real on both sides of the likes, the dislikes and what a purchaser of this watch is getting at this price point. :)
Some people don’t get it aye! 43 mm on a diver’s watch is just an average size! Its not really big at all. It’s a diver’s watch for gods sake! A watch designed to fit a purpose! It also has that masculine characteristics! Reducing it to a size of a dress watch will somewhat make it look odd. You want a 40 mm, get a dress watch!
The Powermatic 80 movement is absolutely fantastic, very accurate and doesn't make the watch cost much more. Other manufacturers may charge a lot more just because of longer power reserve.
Bought the quartz chrono seastar. Autos are too inaccurate, lose time/date when you let them sit, get magnetized and I dont' want to send it away for servicin'. Happy with my purchase
clivenaylor it doesn’t have a ceramic bezel and the bezel is 60 click. The watch from lug to lug is 57 cuz pertruding end links so i would say that the Tissot is better.
I just started getting into watches and this is beautiful. I was originally going to go with a prc200 automatic but now that dial seems too busy to me compared to this one which is more classy and simple. More my personal style.
@@TheAkhilvinayak007 it’s pretty good. It’s a blue tone so brightness isn’t as intense as you see with green, but it is decent and pretty long lasting. Not on Seiko diver levels, though.
Hi loved the video. Iv been looking at this watch for months now thinking of buying one. It looks like a dressy diver. But i have to ask whats the time accuracy on this watch, how much it gains or lose a day, week or month. And if it has manual wind? Thanks.
I think that the low read-ability of the bezel almost eliminates this as a legitimate divers watch. In low light conditions such as you have when diving, this is a critical quality. So this is essentially not fit for purpose.
Geoff Dawson Omg I just got mine from Amazon and I thought there was something wrong w the bezel insert. I thought maybe there was a protective film over it but nope, there wasn't. This is a huge mistake by Tissot. I'm sending it back. I hadn't seen the review or your comment prior to me receiving the watch btw.. i also find the bezel action underwhelming. Not nearly as solid as my Seiko PADI Turtle. I'd honestly put it on par with my $50 Casio Duro.
@@pdc250 lovely looking watch and does what I would expect. Depends on your budget and what you want from a watch but I certiainly have nothing bad to say on this Tissot. I wear my smart watch most of the time then give this a good run out when I can👌 let me know what you opt for dude.
The Seiko SPB053 is an ISO rated diver to 200 m but I don't think the Seastar is although it's rated to 300 m. The Seiko is more functional and tool like whereas the Seastar is more bling. Both are fine watches and it depends what you are looking for in a watch. Oh ya...the Seastar has that fantastic 80 hour power reserve while the Seiko's movement has only half of that iirc.
You need to continue to making it known that it is just your opinion. Other individuals who are well known for reviewing watches has no problem with this unit. Some Tissot and Omega watches share the same movement.
From the comments, it seems like this watch is a lot more popular than I originally thought (in recent memory, I have not seen one in public). Thanks for the comment!
andrew fitzgibbons in his defense the clasp IS hard to open and frankly is the weak spot of the watch, It should be easier, I have this watch and have te same issue and that’s with bare hands, let alone trying it with gloves.
That’s the one thing making me unsure about this watch, I’d rather it have a push button release. Most other watches in this price range and of similar styling do.
Nice piece. Upgraded from an invicta.. .. get lots of compliments on this. Howver I am having trouble finding a stainless steel band for it anybody know any good tested ones for this piece?

Is it ok for a 6.5 inch wrist? And what is the lug to lug dimension?
Superb watch. Highly accurate movement and crazy 80 hour power reserve without crazy price tag.
Never owned a dive watch, so I’m looking to buy my first dive watch.
You will not regret it! Is a steal, buy it on the rubber strap since it’s a sports watch, you will enjoy it better!
@@angelbergthsoto5140 Always buy it with the bracelet ,you can buy the rubber strap much cheaper

I agree completely with you. There are lots of swimming pool divers out there !!
The lug to lug is more important. Here it’s 49.something . Works even in my 6.5inch tiny wrist
Awesome video. Thanks to you I have made up my mind, this will be my christmas present from me to me.
It is a beautiful diver & I’m really happy with what Tissot has been doing. Thanx for the videos!
Thank you!

I disagree, I think the previous gen 4hz movement offered by swatch/Tissot were much more accurate and smoother at a cost of power reserve.
It does have finishing on the rotor . I'm looking at mine now
Please HOLD THE WATCH STILL so I can view the details at least for a few seconds during the video! Thanks

The modification of the ETA 2824 also includes slowing the beat rate from 28k to 21,600 BPH a considerable difference in the sweep of the second hand.
Great watch for the money. The new Certina DS action powermatic 80 is vertically the same watch but looks a little better

It is amazing! Can you review the gold black color version?
Casa Tequila SF
Checked that Yellow black version it looks better by far.
I had a Rado ceramic bezel chipped off.. it didnt even fall down from my hand. However seastar looks pretty cool. Looking forward to purchasing it..
A very solid piece, I wear mine quite often. I reviewed it as well.
@automatic reviews. Hows the lume ?

This is a great looking watch 😍
Just looking at the stats this seems to punch well above its weight
What's a better buy/bang for the buck - the TISSOT Seastar or the ORIS Aquis?? The Oris is $2500. Blue dial w the silicone strap looks so nice.
since today i am proud owner of this watch :)
Does it look big on the wrist like a turtle?
@@dbsll4054 Yes
The minute markers quite small. They're not fully utilise the dial. The marker size should be same as the hands width for a better legibility.
I've never seen a reviewer take a diver under water. What do those bezel numbers look like under water. Refraction is a funny thing.

I reckon it's not meant to be a real dive watch. Look at how glossy it is. More for desk diving 😁
This days nobody buys a expensive diverwatch for Diving
I think Tissot's intention is a good looking everyday watch that's functional for diving... and they were bang on.
that's my dream watch
The Best watch for money !
what do you think of the display back any worry about it cracking?
pretty good watches
No micro adjust is a shame. Id rather the micro adjust than the other extention which not many people will use!
Swiss Made interrupts the simmetricity of the dial, what are you talking about. One's 5 and the other 4 letters
As you clicked the bezel I clicked the bezel on my skx on my wrist and it sounded almost the same.
DonKon17 which one would u choose between this or the seiko skx009?
It's a beauty I sent Santa claws a letter to get me one
Mine comes tomorrow. Keen
Thoughts? Going to Switzerland in June for my 18th and wanna buy a watch but still deciding what. This is a massive contender 🙂🙂

i like the overall design except the clasp. its cheaply done. the marker on the Bessel should have been more readable not a glossy grey
Clasp is the deal breaker for me.

I have one on order..is the movement identical to the PRS 516 P80? I have that watch and the accuracy is quartz like
@@LLSicilia think it's the Swiss eta 2824.

It does have a micro adjustment though...
Only on the diver extension

Which one would you choose between this or the skx009?
Mauricio Mda this
Sorry, the SKX009 cannot be fairly compared to the Seastar.
Skx009 for the win, a much better long term proposition.
Got both. Great in their own right. One a more refined entry Swiss luxury, the other a true hard-core pedigree entry level diver
I got this watch as gift
The bracelet is not very good. Rest of watch is excellent for price point.
Apart from the bezel, I can’t stand the cheap jingly jangly sound the bracelet makes, would rather get it on the silicone strap
Disappointed it’s a pressed clasp...
To bad it's 43mm diameter :/
Doesn't feel like 43 5mm watch I have the tissot Seastar 42mm bulo dial Seastar from 2014 still
The bracelet is hideous and ceramic bezel needs work.
that bezel sounds pretty weak to be honest … nah, pass ...
