god i love how low budget every aspect of this is. every time i hear shut up and drive i think of this performance cus patrick doing the background vocals is my religion
I remember watching this! Year 2007, I was 9 going on 10. One of the best years of music in my opinion. Rihanna was running summer 07' with Umbrella and then came out with Shut up and drive. #2000skid. Oh and can't forget Please don't stop the music. My fav Rihanna era.
This was a very exciting VMA. I loved the concepts for the performances. Kanye with the glasses doing his thing. Foo Fighters reuniting with Pat. I never had been nor have I been since as excited and feeling like the night was full of electricity. Made me feel so alive. This performance I'd say was great but the thing I love the most is Joe fro'd out rockin his a$$ off.
I wish they would not put that playback track. Patrick could totally sing all this backing vocals and it would soun so much better. Otherwise, I just don't hear him at all.
This is the most 2007 thing I have ever seen and I love it because Fall Out Boy
love how pete and rihanna have matching hairstyles

Why hasn't a fall out Boy and Rihanna collaboration happened yet?!???!
Hannah McLaughlin right
Good point.
I love how it says Fall Out Boy feat Rihanna... it’s her song! 😅
Feat Rihanna?????? But its her song lol
idk, could be called a cover featuring her maybe? i guess that's how it works since she didn't participate making any of the arrangements
how have i NEVER seen this before. this gave me CHILLS-

Ur just old
This is nostalgic
Shouldn't it be Rihanna featuring Fall Out Boy instead? I was expecting to hear Patrick Stump's vocals.
You can hear him singing at the breakdown. You also have to remember, back in the early 2000’s, Patrick wasn’t as confident as he is now
@@grayvetrain and he still rocked it

Definitely. Not.
Her harmonies are on a playback track, but she’s singing live on top of them.
Yeah the microphone feedback was totally added to the backing track
Came here to see that little piggy Patrick stump get his hat knocked off to reveal his bald head, but alas, the vid is cut too short
