I've had this figure for over a year. I've had the upgrade kit for a couple months now and barely got around to installing it today. You're video was super helpful. Those shoulder pins and springs were the worst!!!
The truck mode wasn't great to begin with anyway, so benefiting the robot mode is a worthy trade-off in my book. There's another upgrade kit supposedly coming that gives him new arms fully articulated hands. Curious what that one will be like if it comes out.
Well I really hope that DNA Design makes another upgrade kit for this MPM-12 Bumblebee Movie Prime figure to give him his Cybertronian look which should also help make the broken up truck mode (which kinda looks Cybertronian, TBH) more manageable.

I think it is totally worth it. The more broken-up look in truck mode does not bother me. Though in vehicle mode, it does look comically long for a semi. The kit presents a good opportunity to get rid of the Autobot logo in vehicle mode for a more screen-accurate look.
I’ve put the new hands on the original arms. I like how clean the truck mode originally looked, plus I don’t mind the cab parts on the backs of the arms.
I honestly regret getting this figure, despite my previous comments. The upgrade kit, plus a splash or seven of paint would have made this worthy of being a masterpiece
If I were to get mpm 12 and the upgrade kit I'd only replace the smoke stacks and the forearms, I do prefer the head sculpt of the original since it looks more accurate imo and the legs make the back of the truck look weird since it is longer now
If I got this Kit I would no use the lower arms because I like the cleaner look on the cab but I would use the legs and the upper arms to get rid of the cat ears good video 👍
This kit looks damn fine in Bot mode but sadly does nothing at all for truck mode. For me, I really like to display in Bot mode so the trade off with the cab mode is fine. That added hight works wonders for me.

ok I'm a year late in getting this guy and just ordered this kit but is there a difference between the Japanese takara and Hasbro like the toys r us mp10 and takara mp10 convoy because my box has Japanese chicken scratch and the bot looks to have a darker blue and smoked windows instead of the blue windows, is that a thing for mpm12 like mp10 or is there a running change that makes mine more or less valuable?
@Flash Notion I don't think that's the point that OP was making. I believe they're saying that Hasbro and Takara should have worked out these issues before the figure was released, or though of them beforehand
My mpm pin were really tight. It's until the support damaged the surface of my mpm joint. 😢 However when reinserting back, it's like it had done nothing wrong to my life & it became tight again 😂

man im so disappointed with this figure. his truck mode does not look THAT LONG when in comparing to the real freightliner fla that was used in the ending scene of bumblebee. so the 3rd party masterpiece styled primes are still better than this

The upgrade kit really elevates the figure. The lighter silver in the thighs and the new head makes all the difference. Feels more joyful.

As melhores partes desse kit foram as mãos, ombros e joelhos.
A cabeça original tem um visual melhor, além da pintura mais chamativa.
In the updated truck look you could put a figure on the new longer section's as a ride on.

A neat little kitbash to this is to use the go better studio shoulders as the hinge is on the inside and not outside. So it doesnt look too garish.

Most of the time HasTak (assumedly) leaves some slots for upgrade kits like SS devastator, something they can't do but third party companies can

Hammering the pin out just wasn't working for so literally just used brute force to push it out and I worked nothing broken neither
