I totally agree with you. I’m a denture wearer and I’ve gone thru so much pain, discomfort, frustration and disappointment trying to get an adequate denture, sometimes it’s just easier to give up and stay home not letting anyone see my awful smile.
I got all my top teeth pulled at once, yesterday at this time. So it's been almost 24 hours since I've had my top denture. Idk if I really like the way it looks. I keep getting told it's beautiful and people love it. I want to come visit Dr LK and get mini implants or syston 7 star or something similar....you guys are amazing. My dentist is very awesome and kind. Good at what he does. I did not think I could have done this yesterday. Awake....omg. The valium was not even doing anything and the gas was mildly ok. He gave me that for free. He is an angel. Thank you for all that you do do in this field.
Wow amazing work! Just got back from my 2nd visit from a Dental school (they’re great!!) So much work and so excited for the end results as my local dentist decided to have the lab (or someone) decided to overlap and curve my teeth in a very strange shape! So i have been a body/frame man most of my life im 40 and want a change. What is the pay for this job. What are going rates. I was born and electrical engineers son so always did something with my hands. Ive heard a few guys in the industry make that change. Our industry is savaged by brutal insurance drp. Ive lost to much and its time to pack my shit. This is now my focus. My endpoint until reached. You shared this with me. I know i can do anything i set out for. Any reads self studies or aspects of the feild you can share that will make my life easier.

In DC we used to have a vocational high school for nursing and dental technican when the kids walk the halls the dentures smelt just like chitterlings and have that gray clay just like the tape and one of the requirements for that class was to chemistry

As a practicing Dental Tech of 50 years, it is nice to see good work. However, when one crosses over to Primary Dental Professional status, a beautiful denture becomes only one factor in 'treatment of the partially or fully edentulous arch. Achieving correct centric relationship, and vertical requires use of a ball bearing bite recorder, and possibly several try-in's. And, Pt. expectations must be addressed. Thanks. 😀

Is it harder when someone has a small mouth? The first time They popped in my denture before they snipped none, and gum hanging down and all that jazz...IT WAS huge! And that was with the mold they made with impressions. It must be easier with a bigger mouth and room.
@Kenzie La Costa...the issue is not the size of your orifice, but the incompetent, laxidasical nature of your health-care provider. The economical model of large Providers, negates their obligation to deliver more precise, competent work. The Dentist/Denturist at those places are given only a certain amt. of time per procedure...and that issue is where the sloppiness occurs. Thanks.😀
@@darrellborland119 Dr. Brown shut down the entire office for me and took his time...the lady thatbdealt with the dentures was the problem. She had an attitude...shes rude. To my husband and I...so I fully understand. It truly makes a difference when you have a wonderful provider!
Just remember if you're going to do something like this make it where they shine and keep them nice and clean they come out every morning and clean up every night before bed and before breakfast or after you do not want to build up any kind of fungus treat your gums with respect

Yes they only showed , setting the teeth in wax that’s why it’s called wax try- in - after a wax try-in - if the patient likes it and he’s comfortable with it then the dentist will send it back and it will be turned into acrylic or Zirconium . that’s what we do.

I have used denture all my adult life. Initial loss of teeth here and there I used partial denture with metal clasps attached to other teeth, to anchor the denture. This holds the denture firmly, no problem chewing, tastes, etc. later on, I lost all my teeth, and had to use full denture. There are no more teeth for the denture to clasp. The full denture works on the suction of the curvature of the top to the roof of the mouth. That’s why you see a full curvature of the denture right to the back. There is no space, every inch of the denture’s roof has to effectively press the roof of the mouth, for the suction to get full its effect. The gagging effect is horrendous. The loss of taste is depressing. The full denture is good for a couple of months at best, then the structure of the mouth change, the gums recedes, the denture loses its effectiveness. You smile it drops, you chew and it drops, you yawn it drops. You have to get it serviced every few months but it keeps on getting loose. Full dentures just do not function properly without implants to hold it firmly. Anyone telling you different is not honest.
I’ve worn dentures for almost 20 years and I don’t use any adhesive and my dentures don’t fall out. If you have well fitting dentures you don’t have to use adhesive

Just don't try to eat with them, they're wax, to soft, you need the plastic that the dentist use for the permanent denture. They keep that secret.

The palate has to be long order to reach soft tissue for retention which is called a palatal seal creates a seal in the mouth

I got a knife and scrapped it back until I no longer gagged. Not going back to that denture maker again!

I set upper anteriors for cosmetics first. then all mandibular teeth, before doing the upper posteriors. makes more sense

Try to fit the the wax with artificial teeth so that you can see the teeth if there is an error in bitting the patient.
I have used denture all my adult life. Initial loss of teeth here and there I used partial denture with metal clasps attached to other teeth, to anchor the denture. This holds the denture firmly, no problem chewing, tastes, etc. later on, I lost all my teeth, and had to use full denture. There are no more teeth for the denture to clasp. The full denture works on the suction of the curvature of the top to the roof of the mouth. That’s why you see a full curvature of the denture right to the back. There is no space, every inch of the denture’s roof has to effectively press the roof of the mouth, for the suction to get full its effect. The gagging effect is horrendous. The loss of taste is depressing. The full denture is good for a couple of months at best, then the structure of the mouth change, the gums recedes, the denture loses its effectiveness. You smile it drops, you chew and it drops, you yawn it drops. You have to get it serviced every few months but it keeps on getting loose. Full dentures just do not function properly without implants to hold it firmly. Anyone telling you different is not honest.
