This is the only reason I felt like learning few languages and the emotions communicated through words in (o)ur language is lost many times in translations and all the best learn as many languages as possible 👍 For this we need to make kids learns this and we need to start moving around when we are growing up especially it widens ourselves & we will become more humane, apart from learning the language I feel 👍

My grandfather was a teacher during emergency period in 1975. He was also a party member Of DMK. He watched the movie and said he loved it. At that time in Madras every family have atleast one DMK supporter. Because people can easily reach DMK party at that time to get a job in Harbour or for any help. I watched Raging Bull for the first time the same day after I watched Sarpatta Parambarai. Had no idea that Raging Bull was the movie that inspired Ranjith to make a boxing movie in the first place! Two masterpieces. ❤️

Sarpatta is one of the best Tamil movies ever made. It is on a different level. One of the top five movies made this decade. When rangan vathiyar apologize's and accepts his fault in recognizing kabilan's drive....kabilan's arc was already complete. The climax sequence was just an icing on the cake.
You can see that Pa Ranjith is happy to be known for his craftmanship ..he is not just about his ideology , he is an artist.. people should analyse the artistic side of Kabali and Kaala, as much as they dissected Ranjith's socio political views

All his thought process is seperating Dalits from other tamil communities to gain profit in politics. This movie is based on north Chennai's boxing clubs, But pa. Ranjith, unnecessarily shoved caste abuse scenes in this movie, whereas reality was different. When real sarpatta boxers are interviewed, they clearly said caste issues never happened between us, we were like brothers and its pure boxing. But pa. Ranjith changes history and creating enmity between Tamil castes.

This Movie, has taken Tamil cinema to a global recognition. We have seen many such movies in recent times which has created a bench mark, but a sport related movie is very tough to portray the sportsman or the sport itself. Here each and every character has created a history, like i heard shabbir( Dancing Rose) in one interview he said we can take every character in this movie and have separate series on them. My neighbor a 80 year old DMK cader asked me to show SARPATTA ... we watched the movie together (me +neighbor+ his son also a dmk cader) he literally cried out loud and huged me and said...me and my party members and our leader kalingar suffered lot at that period. Best movie in this decade so far. Need more detail, so as we fans want a prequel for Sarpatta Parambarai which should be named as Idiyappa Nayagan Parambarai, should be featured with Dancing rose and Vembuli as protagonists, and need to elaborate lifestyle of Idiyappa clan family, especially Vembuli, his wife, Dancing rose, his wife, and introduction to new characters such as Attakathi dinesh, vinoth, mime gopi, johny of madras who of these worked previously with Pa ranjith's movies. A veteran like Sarathkumar can be roped if possible for past boxing flashback roles.

My neighbor a 80 year old DMK cader asked me to show SARPATTA ... we watched the movie together (me +neighbor+ his son also a dmk cader) he literally cried out loud and huged me and said...me and my party members and our leader kalingar suffered lot at that period. Then he gifted me a book called nenjukku neethi...I totally enjoyed the company of that old man while watching the film ...thank you ranjith

Best movie in this decade so far. Need more detail, so as we fans want a prequel for Sarpatta Parambarai which should be named as Idiyappa Nayagan Parambarai, should be featured with Dancing rose and Vembuli as protagonists, and need to elaborate lifestyle of Idiyappa clan family, especially Vembuli, his wife, Dancing rose, his wife, and introduction to new characters such as Attakathi dinesh, vinoth, mime gopi, johny of madras who of these worked previously with Pa ranjith's movies. A veteran like Sarathkumar can be roped if possible for past boxing flashback roles.
What a film....we miss that in theatre....no one knock out sarpatta...seen 50 times still seeing.....all characters are amazing...thanks pa ranjith anna.....

I thought baradwaj rangan would have asked him about the pasupathi (rangans) observation on meeran vs vembuli match, the time before he decides to put towel, wow lot of mind games, pasupathi will see the vengeance in opponent side and they are going for kill, pure visual medium, no dialogues, thats the art of film making and ranjith sir, murali sir nailed it👍
