RAW ADVENTURES: Exploring Caves in Pangasinan (Luzon, Philippines)

- Join me as I take you along for a special "raw adventure" with some friends. We'll trek up a mountain road in a Subaru, hike through the tropical wilderness, and explore vast hidden caves in the jungle of Pangasinan on the main island of Luzon, Philippines. Because of its remote location, most of these places have never been widely toured by the public, so you'll likely be seeing all of this for the first time on RUclips. Enjoy!

He's back! guys he's back! more,,,, we need more...

Thanks! 😃
What a great scenery... It somehow lift my spirit..a real adventure..thank you Nate👍👍👍👍👍
Happy to hear that! Thanks so much!
Hey Nate, great video and really enjoyed the music you played through the cave, very fitting. I can see why not many people know about these caves with how obscure they are and hard to get to. If you ever lost your head lamp inside you would probably never find your way out. You always do a great job narrating your videos, thanks.
Thanks Ben!! This encouragement is tremendously appreciated. I'm actually looking forward to getting out for some more cave visits later on, perhaps in a nearby area. I was surprised to find out that there are numerous hidden caves all over the region!
Nice one😅 looking forward for your next adventure!!!
Thanks Dennis! Stay tuned!

Well done Nate, another well crafted professional video and totally unexpected in a good way:). It's great that you can go and do this for those of us stuck outside the Philippines. Not sure about the jam and peanut butter sandwiches hahaha!
Thanks J!! I'm glad you enjoyed this different style, and your support has been fantastic over the last year. Honestly, I think I ended up getting tired of PB&J sandwiches; I probably had one too many! 😁😄
Great adventure indeed
Thanks Anthony!

It was an absolutely great time! You nailed it on that repel, and I think you'll be racing up and down cliffs before too long. 😉I can't wait for more outdoor adventures together, Melvin! 😀
Looking forward to that Nate!

Those are amazing deposits that took millions of years to create! Great adventure, Nate!
It's breathtaking to behold such ancient natural beauty, without a doubt! Thanks Hector!!
As usual a wonderful video Mr. Hovee. The rock formations inside and outside the cave are magnificent. I’m always fascinated how many more beautiful sights Filipinos like me have not explore in my own country. Thank you so much for filming this clip . Stay safe!🙏

It was so much fun out there, and I can't wait to go back for more!
Thanks Nate...
My pleasure, and thank you!
You remind me of Finn Snow when he was starting. Keep it up filming/vlogging you will get there eventually...
Much appreciated.. Thanks Abel and Qayin! 😊
nice song
Cool video dude just enjoy the Philippines and keep safe 😊
Thanks! 😃
This is so cool. The last time I had like this was in 2016 in Puerto Princesa Palawan. The Rock Cave is what it is called if Im not mistaken. Well the Philippines have so many caves specially in the Provinces that became a hiding place of Filipinos during World War
Watching from Canada. Hi Nate 👋!
Hello there, Timi, and thanks for watching!! Best wishes from Pampanga! 😀
Shows how versatile Nate is. A very different style from the docu-vlogs.
Thanks AR ES! I hope you enjoyed this video format. 😊
It's always good to know people in the right places. :-) It's better to keep it off google maps. Could you imagine all sorts of "tourists" tramping through the jungle, chipping off the stalactites/mites for souvenirs, and writing graffiti on cave walls. Plus, they can hurt themselves rappelling down the cave. Keep it remote and a total adventure.
Agreed, and well said!
Thanks for sharing, watching from kawasaki Japan
Thank you Chuvy!!
Must try to visit here also in Davao City and Samal island..I'm sure you will like it and amazed ..
Thanks for the recommendation! I look forward to visiting. 🙂
If you wanna see another beautiful cave there’s one in Caramoan Bicol, the trail has guava trees, sweet potatoes, and corn farm. There are also carabaos or water buffaloes and rice field along the way. On top of the hill is a big shrine and the local said they have mass every Sunday. It’s a long way hiking and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.
Thanks so much! It sounds incredible, and for sure I'd love to visit. Would you be able to recommend any specific hotels in the area?
Terrifying! 🫣🫣🫣
Next Beaches destination
Very cool. Missing my 10 years in the Philippines that ended in 2019. We used to search for MIA's mostly from WWII. There's a collection of each note made by the guerillas in WWII that my brother & I donated to the War Museum in Tarlac. We used drones on our missions to see where the paths would lead.
It made me sad that most Filipinos haven't seen their own country. Whether it be Sagada or the Batanes Islands. I guess it's the same for a lot of countries. Are there any issues w/travel due to COVID restrictions?
New sub here. I got a friend from the US whom i'm helping to move here maybe in a year or so. Inspired by you actually! I hope to see more adventure videos from you. Bolinao, Pangasinan near there comes highly recommended they got Hundred Islands National Park and a Giant clam breeding center at a Marine Science institute.
Great to hear, JP! Thanks a million. 😀
Lets go hike again pleaseee
Yes please!
Thank you so much for wonderful video. My lover is in Ph, we are in LDR and I will move there one day and will start vloggling on simple ph life.
Best wishes to you and your lover, and I hope you'll be able to come to the Philippines soon!
@@natehovee Thank you
vlog style completely changed!!! haha.. not complaining though =)
Agreed, this is a very different style.. I hope you enjoyed it, Michael! 😊
just subscribe now nate, nice video, its like im watching documentaries wd fun.Godbless
Thanks ever so much, Azaiah, and welcome!! 🙂
I hope Sagada will open soon for you to visit it. Such an ensorcelling place.
I'm eager to go see it for myself!!
@@natehovee do an Ilocos Tour also, lots lots of places to visit.
La Union - drop by at Lomboy Vineyard its along the national highway and free wine tasting.
Baluarte Watch Tower in Luna, La Union - an old spanish watch tower facing the sea like those in the Mediterranean. Very cool place.
Vigan Ilocos Sur - spent yout first night there, awesome foods and the city at night is like in old european feels.
Then theres a lot going to Ilocos Norte in Pagudpud for the white beach of the north. The road is wide esp along the sea. You gotta to go there. Stay safe
I love watching your video❤️
Would you like to travel to Southern Luzon. Especially in Balabac Palawan, Onok Island. A great island recommends you. Thank you and God bless.
Thanks so much, Hazelle!!
I'm claustrophobic and fears cave entrance straight underground but with a gang like that, perhaps my worries lessen. Now this cave is not a secret anymore! :D
I think you'd enjoy the experience immensely! 😉
yaas!
Please do share!
Hi nate, new sub here
Hey B&J, and welcome!!! Thanks so much for subscribing. Please do share the channel with friends and family! 😊
I hope you can also visit here in manila but that's why the rent of the house here is expensive and the goods try to visit here with us in the binondo area there are many chinise foods and restaurant tours you see here there are also many beautiful places and the people are kind
First!
Oh yeah!!
Great mountain adventure. Where is that place? I'm also from pangasinan.
Thanks so much, Robert! Please share the video with family and friends. This place is not too far from Sison. Your region of the Philippines is such a beautiful part of the country, for sure!
More vlog bro....
Stay tuned! 😊
That's scary though!
Not too scary.. 😉😄
Nate, you should try to collab with Finn Snow.
My God...
NoT so hidden now..
😉😁
Looks like the scary movie The Cave🧐forgot the title
Indeed! 😄
One of the better trails like where is the trail? 🤣
Exactly!! 🤣
Hundred islands is good
I'm excited to visit!!
Nice!
Thanks!
Is this the cave that was featured on KMJS?
Question; Any sport climbing nearby? There's climbing on Cebu but not sure about Luzon, also not sure about your tie in for the rappel do you use three points of contact for the rap?
Hey Bruce! I haven't found any places here that offer sport climbing, but I'd love to get recommendations if there are places out there.
just subscribe 😎😎
Thanks so much, and welcome!
Quick question... Why did you choose Philippines Nate?
Great content btw.
It had been recommended for a long time, and I finally had the opportunity to go after working in the Middle East. Thanks so much!
Things are changing in Thailand and Vietnam due to Covid related to visa and lengths of stay. Are you affected by changes with visa requirements or enforcement?
I thought that was my phone alarm
Awesome 🤣
That goat best meat you can eat you have to try it. That’s really Pangasinan they know how to butcher and cook goat.
I’m in the USA how can I go philipines in the middle of this corona ? What do I need ?
Easy to live in Philippine if you are American....
Can anyone imagine what the local police would say if you had people on top of your car while driving along. Just going for a hike.
Hi Nate, Im from Sison Pangasinan, i just like to ask the exact location of that cave?
East of Barrio Labayug. Just south of Northern Cement. Corp. It’s called Nalbo mountain.
Hello Nate ,
In 1 of you previous videos U mentioned that U no longer need 2 go 2 imigration 2 sign up fo your vistor visa extension & R able
2 stay in the Philippines permanently .
Has the law changed ?
Hi Ronald.. In my video, I said I DO need to go to immigration for extensions, which is what I showed on camera. You can extend the tourist visa multiple times for several years, but those on tourist visas need to leave the country before the end of 3 years (or obtain residency).
