I would like to thank George for the shifter install in my z06 it is awesome, and I like seeing my car in your video,I highly recommend this shifter to any Corvette owner I think it's the single greatest mod you can do.
Outstanding video. No unnecessary chatter or lame jokes. All business. Perfectly done. FWIW, I found this by looking for a replacement for my factory C6 shifter, which is pretty sloppy. After seeing this, I will buy yours for the excellent design, and the way you addressed the factory cast lower half of the shifter linkage. Well done!
Thanks so much for the video! My shifter was delivered by UPS this morning, and I installed it on my 2005 C6 Corvette before lunch! I ordered this shifter based primarily on this video and other positive reviews. After 84,000 miles, my factory shifter was getting a little difficult to get in 1st gear and reverse. Wow, it is so much better than new. Much shorter throw, and engages in all gears nice and tight. The install was fun. My only regret is that I wasn't able to do this 14 years ago! Thanks again for the video - job well done!
Question about your reverse issue you had... were you getting a grinding noise or were you not able to get it in the reverse gear ? Right now my car has no reverse it will not go in at all and was wondering if it was the shifter that Is the problem ? 1st-6th is fine.
@@joerodriguez7334 Hi Joe. I had no grinding noise, just difficult getting into 1st and reverse. I had to "play with it" before it engaged. I believe the shifter linkage became a little loose where it clamps on the rod connection to the transmission. The bolt on the clamp needs to be very tight. I would check that first. Otherwise you might have a transmission issue. If it was my car, I would replace the shifter first. Good luck!
Thanks for this! I picked up one of your shifters for my C6, and I'm going to be doing a video install this season of the before and after impressions. Can't wait!
Just finished up my install of your flat stick. This video made it a breeze. Now for some nice weather to try it out. Had your shifter in my fox and loved it. This one feels better sitting still. ;)
Just received my my shifter in the mail ober the weekend while I was out of town racing. Install is happening tonight. Thank you for the easy install video. Even after only 20k miles my stock C6 shifter is being difficult. Hope this fixes it.
awesome video, the only issue i had was when i attached shifter to base the 2 of the 4 bolts were very hard to tighten down. i thought i crossed threaded 2 bolts. i backed both of them out and applied grease.i think the thread lock they applied was causing the issue. i don't know why you would need thread lock and a bolt that locks the bolt. seemed like over kill but still well constructed.i haven't take it out for a spin but i really like they way it shifts.
@@MGWINC very cool, thank you. Do you think you guys will ever put a seal over the bottom, so all the gunk and dirt dont collect in that white grease??
Something is going wrong with mine, my four mounting bolts are getting incredibly tight long before they're sitting flush, I'm scared to ruin the threads, I don't believe I should have the set screws near that tight until I have before mounting bolts tight, that just doesn't make sense to me
when i took my lower out i noticed that the two bolts were cross threaded and i couldn’t put them back in i tried tap and die and that didn’t work either idk what to do. everything was easy until that.
Just finished putting mine in this morning! Best and easiest modification for the money. If you have a standard vette, you won’t regret it!
Thank you!!!!!

Great, GREAT videos! One question; how about putting some of that assembly grease on the rod ends that the shift goes into??
no need as we prelube those bushings and they are not needing any further grease.

our lower box is now closed off and when installed is sealed up nicely. @@jasonmacneil2256

Not a comedy (see video category), but great guide for installation.
