I’m only 5’9”. The highest I’ve ever pitched was 81, in my Sophomore year of high school (17 years old). My average was around 77, but I ended up dislocating my right shoulder playing football. A guy landed on my arm when I was down and my arm was on top of another guy’s helmet. I ended up playing after our trainer reset it, and we won. However, I lost about 30% of the power in my right arm. I was benching 285 max, then it went down to 225. My left arm became stronger than my right arm. I’d say they’re about the same now, but I’m 32 years old, and no longer have a future playing sports. I like to golf in my spare time though.
I've seen so many videos by you guys giving pitchers "kick changes" that previously couldn't really throw good changeups. Seems like it's some type of seam shifted change where they can hold supination and still tilt the axis. Can you guys do a breakdown on that sometime? Giving supinators (and just high slot guys in general like this kid) changeups with sub 3 vert is sick and I'd love to try something like it
@@dustinpoirierfan85690 at the end of the day its a crap shoot if you can protect your arm perfectly.. paul skenes is/was going 100+ pitches at 100+ mph.. These other pitchers that have been doing arm protection routines are all getting torched by injury.. its up to GOD tbh.. i wish this youngster the best strength in his arm indefinitely..
How hard were you throwing at 15?
62😅
Yeah, 60 something. 93 at 19 though. Couldn't hit the broadside of a barn.

Is he related by any chance to the cuban legend jose contreras
Looks to be Jose Contreras in the background.

Yep I train with jose
Martin Dewald was sitting 85mph at 15. I played him 20 years ago as 14 year old…
just make sure his coaches as he grows up have the self control to not over use him...

Yes, hence the command work and directional focus of the pen.

the earlier you get tommy john the quicker you are on your way to 100
@@mindcry777 and then another tommy john
@@dustinpoirierfan85690 well if you are throwing 100 you've reached some insane heights regardless. hating is not ideal for a progressive world.
@@mindcry777 im not hating lmao. im just saying its not healthy for his arm
