I think when we help out and then realize the amount of work it entails, we get tired and that is when the enemy strikes our peace and makes us question our goodness. Our world needs more ... 'Do unto other's ... ' blessing others.
Just a suggestion: put a layer of cardboard down then cover it with wood chips. It is amazing how it helps with weeds. We repeat yearly in our flower beds each spring. Much easier to put it down before the plants really wake up and start growing. We do it around trees, in the hedges and flowers, everywhere in our yard.

For many years I have been so privileged to put on many weddings in many different states. The Coordinating, the decorations, the flowers, the cakes, and a few times, even made the Bridal Gowns themselves! But I must say that was lovely! An amazing amount of beautiful work went into it, and the duration of the wedding itself is something I have yet to see...thankfully! I especially loved the praise and worship during the wedding! That was a beautiful addition! You two are such good sports, and I know the blesdings will flow back many fold! May The wedding of your sweet daughter and your time back here in the States be sweet and full of blessings as well! We were just in Portland and not far from Multnomah this last weekend! You make an extraordinary work. I believe it could be a good idea letting people use the chateau for events in exchange for work you need help on the gardens, on plumbing, basically on every space it has to be worked on. Make the most of it. Hire a company to do the tasks so you can make sure the good standards are being kept and people can pay directly to this company 😊 This way you preserve yourselves from such an intense work and make sure your tasks are being done. Great video guys, seeing these cultural interactions is always interesting. Also, we find it a good thing when we have people over to stay with us or something going on and it makes us get out there and get after all the jobs we’ve been putting off. We are always happy with the results afterwards, as I’m sure you guys were too.
I know you love the mowing but honestly I hope an automatic mowing manufacturer approaches you about sponsorship whilst you trial it. You could have at least a couple of sections done that way and still leave yourself plenty to do. Just seeing the tree clearing needed, you certainly have lots of outside work to keep you busy. We had a kubota tractor/slasher on our daughter's property. Worked it hard and it didn't let us down. You are doing a great job, both of you. That beautiful chateau deserves beautiful grounds doesn't it. Best wishes.

Evening Rob, we are not too far from you all as we are up in Saint Malo on holiday. Kinda fun watching this weeks video from France 😁👍. I will not lecture you or have a go at all but I am so very happy that you are okay after your Chainsaw problem. Just want to say that there are many people that learnt the lesson you have but are either dead of were badly injured just from cutting firewood. I hope we might see you in some Stihl PPE. Maybe a good helmet and some comfortable chaps. If you are going to keep working with a saw, maybe get a really good set of chainsaw boots too. Great video glad it all worked out well! It's definitely a challenge to have a wedding on the grounds, but as you get more things organized and are able to create more spaces especially in the out buildings, that sure increases the possibilities for you. There were a lot of things you didn't have to handle directly. Just need that big mower that works everytime you start it up! Rob's got to have his fun.

Oh my goodness, Rob and Leslie. You get a lot of love but even more advice in these comments, including from me. :) I am a retired teacher, but I did a lot of volunteer work for guests over my lifetime in the semi-isolated location where I worked. Taking care of the accommodation needs- rooms and meals- especially when all the needs have to be met at your chateau, is overwhelming. Unless you have people living and working full time at the chateau with you both, most of the burdens fall on both of you. Only God knows what you are able to accommodate and step by step, you will learn how much you are able to enlarge your ministry. God bless you and you special work for Him and his people.

Evening Rob, we are not too far from you all as we are up in Saint Malo on holiday. Kinda fun watching this weeks video from France 😁👍. I will not lecture you or have a go at all but I am so very happy that you are okay after your Chainsaw problem. Just want to say that there are many people that learnt the lesson you have but are either dead of were badly injured just from cutting firewood. I hope we might see you in some Stihl PPE. Maybe a good helmet and some comfortable chaps. If you are going to keep working with a saw, maybe get a really good set of chainsaw boots too. Great video glad it all worked out well! PS we will be in Angers a few times this week so if we spot you we will say hello! 😁
Love your piano - that color wood looks really good. And wow, didn't the flowers on the steps look great? Nothing like "company coming" to get us into a higher gear when it comes to sprucing things up. So glad it didn't rain on the party.

It's definitely a challenge to have a wedding on the grounds, but as you get more things organized and are able to create more spaces especially in the out buildings, that sure increases the possibilities for you. There were a lot of things you didn't have to handle directly. Just need that big mower that works everytime you start it up! Rob's got to have his fun.

I have 6 sisters and we do a candy bar for all the nieces and nephews at their weddings. We have a great time!

Oh my goodness, Rob and Leslie. You get a lot of love but even more advice in these comments, including from me. :) I am a retired teacher, but I did a lot of volunteer work for guests over my lifetime in the semi-isolated location where I worked. Taking care of the accommodation needs- rooms and meals- especially when all the needs have to be met at your chateau, is overwhelming. Unless you have people living and working full time at the chateau with you both, most of the burdens fall on both of you. Only God knows what you are able to accommodate and step by step, you will learn how much you are able to enlarge your ministry. God bless you and you special work for Him and his people.
