Had to do the same thing on my 01 Accord…the dog leaning on the open window distressed the plastic keeper that slides in the track. All I needed was an inexpensive part but had to replace the whole regulator. So typical of car companies these days. Easy job as you demonstrated. Another well done video.

Question, do you have to change the window regulator in order for the window to work or can you just change the window motor ?

Do you ever try and replace the brushes in the motor?

    • @DeeP_BosE

i tried in my 8th gen. But never got the same size brushes . The probable option wud be to carve out the same shape from a larger carbon brush. However i decided to replace the worn out front brushes with the nearly pristine rear ones, that just needs desoldering.

@@DeeP_BosE Smart. Brushes are super cheap but hard to find exact match. I had to whitle mine down as well. I replaced brushes for one of my van's sliding rear doors. Worth a shot compared to spending big bucks on replacement of whole assembly.

I don't. Not worth my time when you factor in labor costs.

You're gonna hire a hobo to sit in the back to roll down the windows?
