My company moved me and my family from England to the USA for 4 years so I could head-up a project they were struggling with.
We enrolled our 7 year old Son in the local school and met with the Principal.
Her first words were, "Your English is really good, where did you learn it?"
Even when we replied, "We are English, from England" it took a while for it to sink in.
Yeah. Not really shocking to find out the deplorable state of the US educational system, is it? When dummies are in charge, the kids have zero chance.
But where in England do you learn english? Do they start you very young at school? You learn from American T.V. shows?

true Story I came over to the US on an IT contract. A Summer intern at a very prestigious college and son of the CEO asked me once How Long have you been in the the States. and asked me how long have you been in America I said 2 months he said Wow your English is really good. An American I was working with who happened to have a glass eye laughed so hard he smashed his forehead onto the desk and his glass eye flew 12 feet across the office :-). True story. And yes he knew I was from England.

I like that he called them "Posh and Becks" since I don't think anyone in the US referred to them as such. Another brilliant layer. (Took me a second to realize who he was talking about.)
More like anyone in the US didn't refer to them at all. They decided to go back to being UK A-listers instead of US low B-listers.

As an Australian that grew up on, and loves English Comedy, the US version of The Office was better!

In Britain, cosmetic dentistry isn't as much of a societal requirement as it seems to be in the USA. But, wealthy people here do tend to have it done. I'll bet millions of poor Americans can't afford it either, but they are forgotten about because they aren't on TV.

Number 8 and number 4 aren't stupid depending on which british person your talking to. I've heard interviews with the Gallagher brothers of the former band Oasis and those guys mumble so much you can't understand them at all.

Shickingly bad writing. Out of the ten answers, two were teeth gags and THREE were jokes about speaking the same language but not understanding it. Come on guys, you had one of the best comedians in the world on your show, at least give him some decent material.

quite true about England’s English, watching some of their movies on tv, I need sub titles to understand them!
That's OK, I need subtitles sometimes to understand the American mangling of English too.
Remember that American English is as much of a pizza as English. The difference is that Americans often speak something which is closer to 17th Century English than most modern English.

@@dizzy_derps I think only with atheists for being "edgy" about religion, but for most normal people, he's not funny and just goes after targets that won't fight back (like the disabled)
Ricky is pretty funny I just wish he wouldn't spend 20 minutes out of an hour on how God doesn't exist. It gets old every single special it's the same thing.
I know what you mean but it's his biggest passion, one of his films was built solely around that premise.
