      That would be cool, I just hope they take it in more serious directions, this season was a bit boring unfortunately

    This feels like it’s trying to be like the Golden Age of Batman… but it also wants to modernize Batman the same way My Adventures With Superman did to Superman.

    Your thumbnail kinda pisses me off ngl this new Batman show is trash and doesn’t come close to those childhood classics like the animated series or the Batman ( 2004 ) or Batman beyond or even Batman the brave and the bold it doesn’t come close to beware the Batman either

    I don't know if it's my speaker or your mic but a lot of your sentences end early with half of the last word cut off and you can hear another lower voice talking through you at times. It's very distracting.

    Not as great as BTAS, but I still feel Caped Crusader was pretty good and enjoyable, with potential to become better in the following seasons. While some points you brought up are valid, most of the criticism seem to come from the fact it wasn’t a copy of BTAS as many were expecting, even thought Bruce Timm himself said in interviews that he would only make a new Batman show if he was allowed to do something different from the BTAS.
    Despite being promoted as “a spiritual sucessor to BTAS”, Caped Crusader, in reality, is more a spiritual sucessor to The Brave and Bold cartoon, as it takes inspirations from the classic stories from the Golden Age, when Batman was a “grounded” noir detective who deal with mobsters, jewel thiefs and, occasionally, supernatural threats. The show embrace this stories as well it’s diversity, showing how Batman can work in different of scenarios.
    Obs: Yes, this type tone was also used in The Batman 2004, but that show was cleary more focus on action and martial arts and Batman was more less traumatized and well adjust compare to other versions.
    The show even adapts some concepts that weren’t use in previous Batman animated shows before, like Batman and Gordon’s struggle against the corruption in the GCPD (in previous shows, the cops outside from Gordon were either incompetent or just prideful rivals. It was never show them being straight up bad guys).
    Didn't mind most changes, since they allow these versions to stand on their own, both visually, in personality and role in the story, rather than just repeating th same stories we fans already saw in previous adaptations. It's something most adaptations does with the characters.
    In fact, when looking at the characters, most of them kept their core elements, although with some new takes on them. For exemple:
    Two Face still the same man split between good and evil but, instead of being a good man who becomes corrupt he's start as bit of jerk who develops a empathetic side and struggle in wanting redemption (allowing the show to focus on Harvey good side, something that not explore that often);
    Clayface still the story of an actor who becomes a monster, but now his transformation is result of his own action and vain desires (he basically just became physcially the monster he always was);
    Penguin still the cunning and ruthless mobster, only being a mother who is willing to kill her own children, which is more scary and mess up.
    Even Harley still a physicatrist who gones insane, but more close to the independent Telltale version, with Caped Crusader giving new motivation that contrast with Batman mission;
    The show have it's differences with others show but still respect what came before while creating something fresh and new.

      My main issue wasn’t that it wasn’t a carbon copy of the OG but rather it doesn’t know if it wants to be or not, it seems like the overall tone is conflicted and the character changes Mostly Harley quinn and Penguin, To me proved to just be boring and uninteresting, the series does have some parts that are Just Ok but what brings it down is that we’ve seen those stories done so many times before and better, like the stuff with Harvey, making the season overall just very bland, it isn’t bad but compared to what we’ve gotten from other Batman works, it doesn’t feel worth watching

    I was pleasantly surprised with My Adventures with Superman. Not only does the show nail the character of Clark Kent, but the show has STYLE. The anime-inspired style may not be for everyone, but Caped Crusader feels so flat and lazy. Not to mention the character of Batman has been done horribly.

      I’ve only seen 1 episode of the super man series so i have to check it out more, but I agree with you statements of Batman

    Caped Crusader is good, not great, good. I’d rate it a 7.5/10
    Pros: Interesting character writing, really strong supporting characters, doesn’t make the gender/race swaps the whole point of the affected characters or make them completely unrecognizable.
    Cons: Doesn’t establish a strong identity, weak first episode, cheaper animation.
    Notes;
    - The Penguin had nice characterization (not great), some of the moments such as killing her son gave me SOME idea of the type of person she is.
    - I think you focused a little bit too much on the representation of the show, being that it *takes place in a world where society’s standards are modern, but technology is reminiscent of the 40s*; not just in the 1940s as most assumed.
    - I liked Harley’s character for the most part as she is seen in her episode to be much more smarter and was able to deduce Batman’s whole “Bruce Wayne is the mask” psychology. I was still able to recognize her despite the race swapping and all.
    Look I could say so much more, but considering it’s your opinion, it’s not necessary (not like I’m trying to change your mind 😂).

      Your opinion was well said, I’d give it a 7/10 myself kinda putting it at just an “ehh it’s ok” for me personally, I just felt like alot of the characters weren’t as interesting as the former versions we’ve had of them and due to that it made the changes in their characters pointless to me, Batman however at least i felt was one of the more interesting characters which at least he wasn’t changed much aside from how he treats Alfred
