it took me a good amount of effort to P-Rank Greed. 5-1 was driving me absolutely INSANE with how close i often got to P-Ranking the level. gonna try out these strats. thanks man!
yesterday I couldn't manage an A rank, today I did it on my 2nd try, 1st try I died, second, I got to the end, and got P rank instantly, the thing is I don't even know what i did different, I was faster, that's for sure, but my style meter went rather high compared to yesterday, I guess I got hit less or something
We all start somewhere. When I began I exclusively used the marksman slab and couldn't get better than B ranks. With practice and knowledge you can get those p ranks no problem, don't give up!
The easy answer is to turn your run into a "don't touch water" challenge clear and drain the level to avoid that. Alternatively just use SRS canon quick kills vs cerberus and play a bit slower in those encounters.
I find that green railing the flayer then focusing down the virtue while using the little pillar for cover makes it easier. If you can land a magnet on the flayer then rocket + shotgun projectile boost swaps can take it down fairly fast and painlessly. The other threats are much less stressful once those two are out of the way
Managed to P ranked every level except this one. Any tips on how to rank up my style metre and the best order of each encounter? Also, is it preferable to drain the water or keep it?
Sure. Always be cycling your weapons, never lean on one for too long to keep your freshness meter topped off. Do everything you can to proc style actions like shotgun proboosting and the like, always take actions that would give you additional style score. Always be jumping or sliding to get the additional multiplier going, use walls for more air time where possible. Know all your quick kill methods to reduce risk of enemies dealing damage to you and taking away style points. For order of encounters, I replied to another comment with my thoughts on the room order so to copy/paste it; --- The left one has the easiest encounter, two pump green shotgun into blue will easily clear both malfaces and a blue rail into the angel will remove it immediately, you can take the rest of the fodder out as you wish The right room is two cerbs and a malface, quick killing all three shouldn't take much (srs quick kill one, coin rail the other) The center room is what is say is the hardest, quick kill the malface to splat some sweepers and clear enemies until the flayer spawns. Focus on it and use a green rail if you need the safety, then take out the angel once it's dead (blue rail if you have it back, otherwise just run up to it and give it some buckshot) and go through the rest of the room as you see fit. --- You can ultimately take the order in any way you want or whatever you're comfortable with but I found Center > Right > Left was my go-to; always take an option with a high reset rate first to get more experience with the encounter. For the water level; I haven't played since the update where you have to worry about conductive shots with the canon so for that reason alone I'd consider draining the water so you dont shock yourself when using the blue railcanon. If you dont use rail coining much and can manage the SRS Canon cooldown then it isn't totally necessary but you should experiment to find what works best for you.
Sure. Main thing is always knowing your quick kills and how to get through the rooms fast. Abuse the whiplash when underwater to speed up a lot of fights and keep your style bonus high with the 3x while airborne. (This trivializes the style requirement as long as you keep swapping weapons through fights) For the three rooms; The left one has the easiest encounter, two pump green shotgun into blue will easily clear both malfaces and a blue rail into the angel will remove it immediately, you can take the rest of the fodder out as you wish The right room is two cerbs and a malface, quick killing all three shouldn't take much (srs quick kill one and a coin rail the other to clear the cerbs fast) The center room is what is say is the hardest, quick kill the malface to splat some sweepers and clear enemies until the flayer spawns. Focus on it and use a green rail if you need the safety, then take out the angel once it's dead (blue rail if you have it back, otherwise just run up to it and give it some buckshot) and go through the rest of the room as you see fit. The final room is mostly just some funny gotchas, turrets are very easy to kill when they plant into the ground (shotgun quick swapping or fire off a charged sharpshooter from directly above) and if you can't DPS them in time just revolver shoot their antenna to stun them or knuckle blaster them out of the ground and across the room. You get ample cover in all 3 encounters so use the big pillars to block line of sight when needed. The final one (when you can see the exit door) has an angel spawn at the start of the area that should be taken down asap. The timer and style score are very lenient in the stage so with some practice and a good route in your hands you should get it in no time! I hope any of this ramble helps.
@@KomradeKroa airborne bonus? bruh. I've been struggling with P-ranking this for an entire day because of style points, and you're telling me this whole time it's because I'm not jumping around like a crackhead?
In that first room, electric railcannon the virtue in the water to instantly clear the room, saves a bunch of time
it took me a good amount of effort to P-Rank Greed.

that was probably it. since getting hit lowers the style points.
Thank u man i couldn't have done it without your video
lmao i can't even p rank this lvl on standard, great job btw
i am always impressed how insanely skilled some players are

This is going to be way harder with the railgun being able to damage you in water
The easy answer is to turn your run into a "don't touch water" challenge clear and drain the level to avoid that. Alternatively just use SRS canon quick kills vs cerberus and play a bit slower in those encounters.
Harder to p rank than 6-1 and minos prime
literally real it took me 2 tries to p rank minos prime and im still stuck p-ranking this level
I have been trying to p rank it but the middle room with mindflayer sucks

@@KomradeKroa thank you so much for this tip no wonder why i was not gaining any style points i now have beaten the level on a p-rank
i cant believe i was 1.501 second late to p rank this level
One time I got a P-Rank by 0.072 seconds.
How can i activate that liderboard?
If you mean the stats box on the top left, double tap tab on your keyboard.
