I wish they sell these again or at least provide an online archive! these are much prettier than today's burda patterns

I did learn sewing with the old burda patterns helping my mom as a child. When I hear people saying burda these days is difficult I must smile. You can do it girl!

I enjoyed watching this flip through. I have always found Burda too difficult to sew,, but i enjoyed looking at the fashionsfrom the old days. I love the vintage fashions and patterns, I collect vintage sewing patterns and sewing supplies.

Wow, I think 1960s might be my vibe.... Love them all. (And I'm the same age as your mum, it seems!) Thank you for bringing these to us - I look forward to learning how you navigate the pattern pieces.

Thanks very much for the browse through. I love to look at these old magazines. I like reading the adds and beauty tips too. 😄 But the old pattern sheets are indeed scary.

The adverts are a tiny insight into history and I get a blast from seeing them.

I love the vintage patterns. They have been so feminin🌹. And, yes, it was quite a piece of work to get out the patterns from old BURDAS. But its always worth it. Enjoy sewing💙

Thank you for showing this Burda. This styles it seems have already show what the 70s will be famous for. I have a Burda from 1954. I also show other German fashion from the late 30 to the early 60s on my YT channel.

That was fascinating! Thanks. I used to have a very old copy of Simplicity patterns and also a sewing magazine/book of Simplicity but I’ve lost them :-(. I love some of those styles particularly the one you said looked very designer and minimalist.

That designer pattern is the only one that is available in all the sizes which I think is awesome! Its one I'd love to make as I grow my skill in sewing with the vintage mags.

Burda has the best patterns ever. It is not difficult to use these old patterns, there are red dots, red lines, red zig zag lines, they are all different.
