Shameless cowards Americans, killed millions of innocent women, children and poor peasants, destroyed whole country side in Vietnam with chemicals
When kicked in their ass by half their size, starved Vietnamese, they ran like rats, disgusting Americans still not repenting

Very glad to run across this program. I was not in country, but was in the Marines during 'Nam. OCS in Quantico, then at HQMC, working with computers.

Excellent show. Living history always fills in the blank pages. Can' t shake the anger to this day of the betrayal of our leaders and some political driven artist who took our unselfish devotion to duty and turned it into years shame.

Even for those who weren't in-country, we were not well treated by a lot of civilians, and for a longer time. An elderly woman confronted me at a bus stop and told me she hoped my husband would die in napalm. When I went back to college, there were students and profs who were extremely negative about veterans. And male veterans who sneered at me for not being "real." Stares, silence, etc. Verbal assaults, yes. In a variety of venues. My husband also had personal attacks, both physical and verbal, at the time he returned from 'Nam and at times since. Church was problematic. Medical spaces are problematic. And then there are the surges of rage when people who never served make bald statements about women in the military.

When I joined the Air Force in Dec 1976 and entered in Jan 1977 one thing I noted was that the recruiters in El Paso, TX did not wear their uniforms outside of the induction center -- they wore civvies to and from work. Thank you all for your Vietnam service.
