Сами костюмы не покупаются, они шьются индивидуально для конкретного исполнителя костюмы эти сами по себе ,произведения искусства. Диана великолепна как всегда, в интернете есть видео, как происходил процесс съемки шоу "Маска" изнутри и там видна вся трудность съемок Дианы в маске "Горностая" в этом сезоне "Маски", Диана спела 9 песен!
I’ve been a fan of DIANA for five years…this is pre recorded on the MASKED SINGER and she does have a microphone for speaking. The costume is enormous. People viewing the weekly competition had voted her off in the sixth performance but it was finalized on the 9th (she performed an ARIA OPERA and it was INCREDIBLE. There is a BEHIND THE SCENES that she uploaded that shows how and how hilarious she believed it was to disguise her vocals.
She has many performances where she’s singing live. I would recommend “RISE LIKE A PHOENIX” another SONG 🎶 by DEEEAANA is “ME VOY” these are done in personal settings. Diana attends GITIS UNIVERSITY, she provides LIVE CONCERTS in areas she’s invited, she also provides original music 🎼.
Diana skillfully hid her voice for the first 5 episodes, Noone knew who she was, from episodes 6 thru 9 she uncovered her voice or was told to by the producers of the show. This is episode 8 I believe.
I can answer some of your questions.
First of all she changed her voice (not artificially, she has a huge range and she can do whatever she wants with her voice, she has sang the same songs live to prove that she can do it) so that she won't be discovered for the first 5 episodes of this show, i invite you to hear any of these 5 episodes and then look at me in the eye and tell me that you recognized her 😄😄😄.
She was forced to sing with her natural voice for the last 4 episodes and as you suspected she was immediately recognized, she lasted these 4 episodes only because some other singers had been recognized sooner than her and only one can leave per episode.
She indeed picked this costume her self, it was the best costume on this show and Diana was by far the best vocalist there too, during her last 4 performances were she sang with her natural voice the show's viewing numbers skyrocketed until she left, no one cared what happened after that 😛
Her songs were prerecorded in studio, it is impossible to sing under the mask wearing this heavy costume Diana herself made a Vlog that reveal a lot from this show, you can see it as a reaction it is both funny and emotional and it will answer all your questions plus you will hear her do some of those complicated voices.

The songs are pre-recorded - it would be impossible to sing in the costume and the mask - it's very heavy and constricting. This was episode 8 of the show, Diana was unmasked in episode 9 (there were 12 episodes on all). For the first five songs, Diana hid her voice, but in episode 6 she was told to sing in her normal voice and it was obvious she wouldn't get to the final. Everything is so. But besides that, Diana's audience and the show's audience overlap very little. Diana was well known for her deep tones, but by sneaking in operatic tones for example and using embellishments in the backround track that were not common in a majority of her more familiar repertoire likely helped her advance

For the first five performances, it was almost completely impossible to guess that it was Diana.
After that, they still only unmask one person per episode. So, even if they know who four of them are, three of them continue on to the next episodes.
Like, Right! Same for DIMASH. So distinctive. If you couldn't recognize either one in 3 notes then there's a problem with yr ears.😂
If you watch the first 5 episodes, you won't recognize Diana's voice.
After that, the organizers forced Diana to sing with their own voice.
In the 6th edition, many fans recognized Diana's voice in the song - California Dreaming, and the jury recognized Diana in the 7th edition of the show.
At 8 and 9, Diana got into the nomination and was forced to leave the project with the best record of 6 wins in nominations in 9 issues.

👉 Mask Singer 2023 in Moscow (with links)- Diana as a graceful, Japanese-looking ermine in the Mask Singer Show 2023 in Moscow. Actually, you recognize Diana's voice as soon as you hear it... Actually... but everything is different here. You hear Diana like you've never heard her before... and you really ask yourself: Is that Diana? Yes, everything is Diana, live and without electronical voice distortion!!! I've been following Diana for almost 6 years but I never thought that Diana could hide her unique timbre so well that she has so many other voice colors. I'm excited.
Diana was able to hide her voice for five episodes, then it became clear who was hiding under the ermine mask, and in the 9th episode Diana had to give up.
Diana gave us 9 beautiful songs. Her magical, expressive voice gives the songs her impressive Diana style and of course, as always, she gives us goosebumps. I still have to get used to the new Diana with the bell-like voice... sooooo beautiful, fantastic, brilliant, grandiose, gorgeous, wonderful!!
At this point I must say a few words about the great work of Diana's singing teachers: Prof. Olga Donskoy brought Diana through the broken voice with flying colors, restored the lost high notes and prepared Diana for the entrance exam at the legendary Russian State Institute of Theater and variety arts (Juilliard similar to GITIS). Unfortunately Prof. Olga Donskoy passed away in October 2020 (pandemic).
Russian fans helped Diana find a new voice coach: Alexandra Pismennaya (Sasha, not the Sasha Kvashenaya from the session channel). She was a student of Prof. Donskoy and also has a deep voice. This teacher of Diana's has been doing wonders for the past two years. Not only are the two friends, Sasha has also made a quantum leap in Diana's vocal development, taking her to a new, even higher level. Diana's vocal range has expanded by nearly an octave, Sasha has also enabled Diana to explore new vocal colors (timbres) to expand her repertoire with endless song pieces and genres too...whether they are mysterious and primal like Mother Nature or delicate and wants to sound clear like a little bell, then it will sound like one. You will hear it and enjoy it and most importantly you will feel it deep inside you... I'm sooo excited!!!
Maybe I'm wrong, but I feel that Sasha and Diana Dimash studied very well, analyzed and realized that Diana too can take her skills and diversity to an even higher level... what a prospect, I'm delighted on the journey. Thanks Sasha!

They change the tone to the judges I think.
Not only her voice recognisable but all 4 judges know her personally. Yet she hid her voice completely for 5 episodes, showing she is not only extremely talented and got unique timbre but a highly trained professional singer by now.
Also while i understand getting recognised is to be avoided in this show but technically it doesn't matter.: First the live audiance chooses 3 to be in danger, they will chose what they less liked, found less intresting, then save 1. Yes some might vote "i think i know who is under the mask", but that's only one factor. And be honest if you know who sings but loved the performance you won't vote him out. Then the jury saves 1. I have listened to jury votes who they save and why, never ever not once they said 1 save singe4r X because i know who singer Y is, failed to hide his/her voice. They commented thing like "overall i found it less artistic" "i already saved this mask once" or "i hav edecided i will not take into consideration previous performances only today's" etc. etc. but none ever said "You didn't put effort into hiding your voice".
Watch her performance of Rechenka at age 14 on the You Are Super show (for disadvantaged children), where her wide range of vocal techniques is on full display.
