The performance was filmed and recorded live at eTown Hall in Boulder, Colorado as part of the taping of eTown's syndicated radio variety show and podcast.

Found a Jim Lauderdale CD at the Goodwill Store. Never heard of him before, but it was a good $.99 spent I think! Hard to believe I’ve never heard of him esp after digging up all this stuff on YT.

I was working Hardly Strictly Bluegrass about 8-10 years ago @ Banjo Stage on a Friday. Lauderdale's performance was great- Hey, it's really good when you can listen to fine music and get paid for it.
One of my all time favorite songs. Yet I had forgotten about. Resonated in my teens in the early 70’s & still does today ❤

I don't know. There is no steel guitar player listed as a current, auxiliary or former auxiliary member on their wikipedia page or official band webpage. Maybe he came with Jim Lauderdale.
