The combination of his first touch, ball control, body feints, dribbling, awareness, intelligence, passing, finishing (with both feet) and set piece skills made him a very special player. How many players in footballing history could tick all of those boxes and to such a high standard? Also, never forget his mental strength which allowed him to play until the age of 37, despite all of his crippling injuries.

I agree with you, however, in regards to 2002, Trapp had Vieri, Inzaghi, Totti, Del P, Delvecchio, Montella to choose from. All younger and not injured. That was the issue. However, Baggio was better than ALL of them IMO.

Tough question. I think baggio was more consistent with his touch. Bergkamp could make insane things happen out of nowhere, and with his size it was a treat to watch. But I still think baggios touch was unrivaled.
