- This is the first leg of my week long trip through Utah to Denver Colorado and I have lots of stops along the way! Trying to keep the video's at the 30 minute mark lol. also, do you all feel the videos are too long? Would you all like them shorter? are they just right??? Let me know in the comments.

Quite the mix of places. We like the pink sand dunes, but don't need to go back. I'm glad you got the septarian nodule. NEAT! Keep having fun but quit abusing your ankle. Be happy, safe and healthy from the Palm Springs CA.
Very cool! If you ever want to come to Michigan and hunt Septarian, Petoskey, greenstone, etc. I’d be happy to take you out. I even have a dive boat if you want to scuba dive on some shipwrecks. I’m headed to Nevada and California next month. I can’t wait to see what kind of cool rocks mom and I can find.
These old timer outdoor rock shops are the best places to lazy rockhound or take kids “rockhounding”.
That sand is such a pretty color.

For a future trip you're not far from Tom's Best Spring dispersed camping area. It's between Red Canyon and Bryce. Just look for Tom's Best Spring Rd. Stayed there last year.
Love the Coral Pinks! The next canyon east has some amazing geology and petroglyphs...but don't try it without an atv. You will be stuck up to your axles!

I lived there half my life and still go visit several times a year since the majority of my cousins still live there! Trust me there is more to it than what you see! Welcome to Utah! Looks like it was fun, aside from the ankle, cold, oxygen deprivation, and all that. Fun finds. It was killing me that you didn't get to look more in the septarian nodules. It helps to have someone with you who knows the area, but that obviously isn't always possible. Come back soon!

I grew up playing in the coral pink sand dunes! I am from Kanab, Utah. Utah is absolutely beautiful! Oh and maverick gas station is the best gas station ever lol

Sacrifices must be made to get the goodies hey Ellie? That must’ve been painful at the end of the day after all that hiking on the ankle. Glad you got at least one really nice complete septarian nodule. Have you hit them with UV light yet?
And I don’t mind making them. I am glad I found one whole one. And I think the one that’s a partial one will look really good once I figure out how to cut it. And no I have not tried them under UV light I need to do that.

I only walked on the sand, dunes and flip-flops. Because it hurt to put my hiking boot on because it touches the part of my ankle that still messed up. So when I strap my foot in my boots, it’s even more painful. It was a bad situation.
