    We have an inkjet printer but our local library has a fancy laser printer. I take printed images to the library and have copies made there for 25¢ each. Just wanted to throw that out there. I love these pieces Laura!😊❤

      Thank you so much, yummy cookie!By the way, I love that name yummy cookie!😂🤣😂… that is so awesome though that you have a library that has a laser printer and you can get copies made for $.25 each!… I don’t know if all libraries have the same kind of thing but it’s definitely something that needs to be put out there and for people to go and check out their local libraries! So thank you for that my dear yummy cookie!😂🤣😂 sending you my big big hugs!🤗👍🏻❤️

    I am enthralled by these pieces and love what you have done. However, I did some research after following the provided link for the paper and I’m now completely confused 🤣. The link goes to 2 sided “unpealable” paper for me….. help! 🥴😜 (and is “unpealable” even a word??). That all said…. I don’t call this AI. What you used is basically .png background and foreground images that are cut and pasted automatically within the program itself (for instance, that boot disappears because of the internal program setting for opacity, which may or may not be adjustable by the user). AI is when the program actually creates from scratch with set perimeters, whether it is images, writing, etc. For folks like me who have - for decades and decades now - been working with .png’s that we manually manipulate, we still see it as art, either way that it is done. And that is because an *artist* can actually use them in other apps like photoshop and still make changes to the generated picture, we are just using our skills in a computer art format. That is what you did, and used YOUR imagination to choose which parameters to use. Art is art - and art is creativity from within one’s soul, using *any* form of medium. I can’t tell you how many times I have been told - paraphrasing - polymer clay isn’t really clay, and it’s just someone playing with plastic so it’s no different than the old shrinky dinks, AND that the jewelry is therefore nothing more than plastic junk… (the sheer audacity, right?!?!?). So, because of people’s disdain, I have learned a *truth* : It is the *value* of the art in an individuals eye & mind that simply defines like and dislike, and like & dislike is *not* the definition of what art *actually* is. Art speaks differently to each person, but dislike doesn’t mean it is not art. So, *you do you* , you wonderful soul, and keep creating the remarkable and often magnificent *ART* that you do! You owe no one an explanation or apology! Ever.

      I can't tell you how much I appreciate your comment here!! HOLY AWESOMENESS!! I really couldn't have said it better myself!! Thank you. From the bottom of my heart...thank you!! In fact, I will not even expand upon what you have said here...my comment would not do it justice. However, I will speak to the paper, and your inquiry there. This paper that I ordered is a semi gloss paper...no, not pealable. But that is what the clay does when you fire it using an embossing gun to heat it on the paper. It will pull up the ink and then you can use it in any project you might have in mind. I do hope that helps you. If you haven't taken in my 3 videos on the liquid clay transfer technique, these might clarify my process here. And if I have that all wrong and you still have questions on it, please let me know and I will do my best to help out where I can. Rule of thumb on the transfer technique is the glossy paper works great!! Again, Thank you so much for your comment. It made such a difference for me. Sending you my biggest hugs! :)

      WOW!!! Just wow...Thank you for this. Thank you for your kind compliment on my work here. Bless you!! I knew I was most likely stepping into a landmine with this subject matter, but AI exists. And I can't "ignore the elephant in the room" forever. Besides, you have made a very valid point here!! People have been using Stock Images for years now to help in the creation of their own work. AI just makes it easier. LOLOL!! Never thought about that until now. And also, thank you again for your compliment on the video information and how it helped. I am thrilled you enjoyed it. Sending you my biggest of big hugs!! :)

    Bonjour et merci pour tous ces magnifiques tutos que vous prenez le temps de nous offrir. Je n'ai pas très bien compris si vous mettez de la polymère liquide sur votre papier photo ou pas ? 😊. On vous voit enlever une pelicule sur la video mais je n'ai pas compris si vous avez mis quelque chose sur le papier ou bien si c'est le papier en lui-même que vous dédoublez ? Merci par avance

      Thank you so much, lady! I am so thrilled that you enjoy my videos here on my channel!… As to the transfer technique, yes, I put clear translucent liquid Sculpey onto the actual page or print and I let it drip off and then use my heat gun to fire it on there. Once it’s fired and cooled, I then go ahead and pull the clay away from the piece of paper. It should transfer the image so long as you’re using a laser printer image. I do hope that helps… And Sending my big hugs your way!! 🤗❤️👍🏻

    I am alsoi in the colouring community and omg the ones for and against AI is just mind blowing some are so totally against it that they refuse any images that are AI generated and sometook the time to colour them . For me perosnally i love AI as you said it is a tool that you can use. Even Jazza from Jazza arts tried it out and said yes it is a tool that can be used to help artists no matter what they are. What you did with this is just brilliant I LOVE IT !!!

      @laurajschiller  5 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you again for your kind support, Miss Selene!! Bless you!! I did get some rather "not so nice remarks" on this matter as well. I try to always keep an open mind and especially with new material or technology that can help people. I understand the cons, but I also know that when you "never say never"?....well, it comes back to bite you in the....well, you get what I mean. LOLOL!! I just figure it's best to try and figure out how it can help artisans and let it go from there. Call me, a "glass half full" person...I try to look for the silver lining. Again, though...it means alot to me that you support me here. I am not big on creating controversy but, I also go where the muse takes me too. Sending you my biggest of big hugs! :)

    These are really beautiful! Thank you for sharing. Do you have a video or tutorial on how to transfer the Ai images onto the paper and what kind of paper can i buy to do this? I know how to generate the images I like and I've been doing that for a while but I don't know how to do the transfer thing to make jewelry. Thanks!

    • @laurajschiller
      @laurajschiller  Месяц назад

      Yes!! I have a few videos on the transfer affect. I think the last 2 would be most helpful. But, my favorite is the last one with how I deal with the storage of liquid clay as well. Here is the link to that video: ruclips.net/video/kB4A-2G5LIc/видео.html The paper I suggest is glossy digital coated paper. I do hope this helps you and that you will be able to create some wonderful transfers!! Sending you my biggggg hugs!! :)

    love this idea, I've just ventured into the world of AI creating and was thinking how great they'd be in my jewellery, great minds think alike🤣 2 question, 1/ do you not seal you pieces ? and 2/ when your printing your images how do you size, I can never get this right 🙃, appreciate any advice

    • @laurajschiller
      @laurajschiller  5 месяцев назад

      Thank you so much!! And as to your questions...1. Yes and no. Seal, as in the ink trapped inside the clay, yes. Approved of water based varnish or resin over the clay, depends upon the situation and what kind of project I am dealing with. Also, what kind of colored clay I am sealing. Resin does not do so well over time with lighter colors and yellowing tends to happen. Varnish works, but can diminish mica finishes found in pearl ex and other powders. Which is why I am soooooo in love with my Fine Tec Metallic Water color paints right now. 2. When it comes to sizing, I suggest printing out a test sheet to see the size and what it looks like before you print on your specialized papers. Otherwise, I would also look at the program you are working with. I use pages alot, and in one area, I can find what the size of the image is. This helps me immensely get an idea of what the size of the image will wind up being. I do hope this helps. Sending you my hugs! :)

      @@laurajschiller thanks so much for your reply. I'm a bit confused though.... re sealing ... do you paint over the printed images with Fine Tec so you do not have to seal them ? About the sizing, I'm a Windows girl on Android, but I'm sure I'll work that out.....eventually 😂.

      But you said whatever we do do not buy “photo paper” in your video? I’m confused

    • @laurajschiller
      @laurajschiller  5 месяцев назад

      @@tahomyjo - Okay, I think I have it for you. Don't buy inkjet paper or any Photo inkjet paper. Laser photo paper is a yes. The paper I recommended in the video is the paper I used. So, I was able to reccommend it since it worked for me. The reasoning behind not using Inkjet paper is because Inkjet and Laser printers work very differently from one another. Inkjet is actual ink that goes down onto the paper and it drys on there. When ink is put onto the paper, there is no heat process in doing so. When you make a laser print, to get the pigment/ink onto the paper, it has to be heated by the printer to adhere to the paper. Which is why the transfer technique with laser paper works so well, the paper is already accustomed to being heated and why the paper is not affected like an inkjet paper is. I had some inkjet photo paper, I tried to do a transfer from it and it DEFINITELY did not like the heat. And in fact, the paper curled up on me and transfer was ruined. Sorry for any confusion, lady...I hope this will help. Hugs! :)
