My 1st quilt for 2024 is a Jean quilt. I lost 75 pounds last year and I cut up all my jeans that don’t fit and I’m making a Jean quilt out of them. I’m using Love struck orange peel appliqué on the 5 inch squares. I’m so excited to get started. I’m so very proud of myself and happy to be sewing with such beautiful fabric. Happy New Year 🎊.
The 1st quilt I made this year was, Our Flag Stands for Freedom by Lisa Bongean. It’s for my son’s friend who passed away in an accident, he was a veteran so we wanted to honor him by giving it to his mom; he was her only child. I purchased the kit from FQS and finally got around to making it; finished it today 1/6/24.
I am working on a mystery quilt. I plan to finish it first. Then I have quilts for my grown children to work on! I really enjoy watching you quilt! I have learned a lot.
My first projects of 2024 will start at a retreat on this Sunday. First I have 4 UFO quilts that must be finished prior to any new starts. I should have the 4 quilt tops done by Tuesday morning. Then I am starting a new sampler quilt. I am using Bliss fabric. What I am looking most for from the quilting industry in 2024 is more great fabric and quilt kit. I love quilt kits. I think they are the best value rather than buying all the fabric separately and risking not having enough or having way to much. When I quilt I am in my happy space.
I’m doing a temperature quilt this year. Sadly, I’m not following along with you as I did a quilt of your houses last year but I love the idea of an ongoing project. I love how the quilt industry has continued to make bundles and pre cuts. I spend too much time choosing what goes with what and purchasing a bundle or a layer cake and coordinating solids makes my life easier. Wishing you and your company continued success in 2024!
You are SO right about those endurance blades! They are more expensive but for those of you who have arthritis, it's worth not having as much pain every time you cut fabric. So super easy! It's a game changer!! If you have arthritis you know there's no such thing as no pain but definitely less!!

First thing in 2024 I cleaned out my scrap bins and have 2 scrappy quilts planned. Industry favorite is seeing all the beautiful fabrics being designed…. can’t get enough💕
My first project this year is the Petit Four quilt. I had purchased everything to do the sew along from the beginning but December put me in bed for weeks sick. So now I'm ready to go. I'm super excited for sew alongs you have planned this year! Truth be told whatever you do and show weekly draws me in. So I'm happy.
The first project I'm working on in 2024 is a 3-yard quilt for a friend using fabrics that are especially themed for her. What I'm most excited about are the bunny fabrics you showed this morning (Theresa Kogut's and Bunny Trail) because I love to decorate for the holidays and seasons with quilts I've made. I love FQS and your videos!
My first project is a baby quilt for new addition to the extended family. And in 2024 I’m hoping the quilting industry focuses on warmth and happiness to combat all the stress out there.

The first quilt I am doing this year is Evergreen. I am liking the fabric that is almost solid except for a small design, either a metallic or color. I like that it is not busy with an overall print. I hope everyone has a great 2024!

Hi Kimberly and the FQS crew! My first project of the year is a baby quilt for a friend's precious little girl arriving sometime in February. It's the Around the World patten combining solids and a lovely coordinating floral. I'm most excited to start my Kona quilt from the calendar. Kimberly really inspired me! I'm loving the calendar. I can't wait to finish this baby quilt so I can start that project. I'll be using the 2023 bird themed solid fat quarter club bundles. Happy New Year, quilty friends!
2024 is my year to destash and finish more than I start. Meaning finish those ufos and use what I already have! I am signed up for the Hey Violet and Designer Mystery quilts, so looking forward to those, finishing this year’s Designer Mystery and Pressed Flowers. I also just got a new Janome M8 and 550E, so I’m hoping to do more of my own quilting and only sending my biggest quilts out to be long armed.
I am most excited for all things fat quarter shop. i always look forward to the quilt alongs and fun patterns you release. there is nothing like FQS in the quilting world. i really want to start on the celebrate with quilts sew along.
I’ve told myself that I need to finish several WIPs before I can start anything new, but I’ve already purchased two new projects this year; oh my! I absolutely LOVE the Kona color of the year! I’m thinking a white and Julep, two color, vintage quilt pattern. I love your Friday live streams and learn so much! A thank you to your customer service staff once again!!! The Jolly Bar, Joyful Gatherings came with my order and when I went online to order the background, binding and backing, you were out of the SKUs listed on the pattern. The first quilt I’m going to do is the Lori Holt Scrappiness Is Happiness quilt along quilt. Then, rather than catch up on all my unfinished quilts from last year, I’m moving on to the Mercantile quilt, in the hope that a big success early on this year will motivate me to go back to previous uncompleted projects.
My 1st quilt is Barn Star Sampler. I know I’ve had the fabric but super excited to make it. For 2024, I would love to make the beautiful quilts that I’ve already purchased fabric from FQS. I paused to make Christmas & new baby quilts that everyone absolutely loved. Thanks for all the inspiration.

I started making my grandson a monster truck quilt for 2024 Christmas, so I am currently working on that. I also need to complete my Joyful quilt along from Lisa Bongean and I want to make some placemats for my dining room table. I will be participating in Lisa Bongean's Garden Gatherings mini quilts this month also. AND I will be getting my CUPID box at the end of the month to play with MORE fabrics 🙂
My daughter will love Lori Holt’s vintage dress pattern. After I order Mercantile fabric, I will start! I just love the color of the year! I very impressed with the quilt industry’s creative ideas how to enable us all! The decisions are endless.😳

The first thing I’m doing in 2024 (already started) is doing a donation quilt for a silent auction for someone who has stage 4 cancer. The thing I’m excited about in 2024 from quilt industry is the new fabric lines coming out! So many pretty ones!! Also hoping for more shortcut quilts.
The first quilt that I want to work on in 2024 is the sew sampler pressed flowers QAL. I have a toddler so it's been hard to get anything done lately. The thing I'm most excited for in quilting this coming year is for the Flower stand BOM quilt. It is gorgeous! 😍

Hi Kimberly, First of all I love the cup!! I was watching you on A quilting Life this morning . You made a comment about rulers all over your table. I had the same problem. I solved it by placing a clear rectangle box on my table. It is 6x12 inches and three inches deep. It holds all my square rulers… up to 10 1/2. Also my lock block and easy square triangle rulers! Handy but not in the way! I love your cheerful attitude and your generosity! Happy quilting!

I'm researching patterns that would be good for both bride and groom. My grandson proposed to his longtime girtfriend on New Years Day! This quilt would be the main focus of my quilting in 2024. I have three quilts just returned from the longarmer so I will be busy sewing bindings. Loved the review of all the fabric available-such variety. Thank you Kimberly for the inspriations.
My first project of 2024 will be Blockheads block of the month. I'm doing a few BOM so I should have a few nice quilts by the end of the year. I also purchased a few quilt kits from FQS over the holidays. I'm super excited for the release of Strawberry Lemonade. I reserved mine and it should be shipping any day.
Starting this year finishing up 2023 block of the month from my quilt guild. Excited to pick fabric and start on a baby quilt for a new grandbaby arriving this year.
My first sewing project this year was a Taylor Swift themed insulated lunch tote for a friend. First quilt of 2024 is using some of my stash fabric to make a modernly bright quilt front based on the FQS Heartfelt charity quilt backing pattern. Heartfelt was one of my favorite charity designs by FQS and a pattern designer. I am sad to hear donations have been down as Make-A-Wish is such a worthy cause. Sampler block type quilts just aren’t my style/taste but I truly appreciate the time & thought toward FQS charity matching cross stitch patterns bc I lean into sampler styles in that fiber art. ❤
My first quilt of 2024 was the Feathered Star from Fat Quarter Shop, next up is another pattern from FQS ..Heartfelt quilt along. I’m really looking forward to the new foundation papers coming out , can’t wait !

My first project is the 2024 temperature quilt. I’m making 2, one for me & one for my bestie because we are weather nerds. I am most excited to see (hopefully) more 108” wide backs. I love these for larger quilts & would like more variety.
My first project is to finish the Peti Four QAl. I'm loving it. Didn't think I was going to like the 4 inch blocks as much as I do. Next will probably be the Vintage Sunburst QAL and then possibly the Moonbeams QAL or the Millie QAL. That should keep me out of trouble for the beginning of this year, lol. I think the Foundation Paper piecing is the most innovative of the quilting industry right now. I'm really enjoying doing some of my blocks this way. Kind of takes the mind off of things. Looking forward to seeing what the industry brings this year. Everyone is so creative! Love the new giant blue and white mug!!!! Keep the awesome videos coming. As for me, I can't sew anything right now because my machine isn't working. As soon as it is I lan to start with the heart quit! My first UFO to finish will be the FQS Charity quilt Bountiful......it has been a slow process for me, but I love it and can't wait to get it to the long arm quilter. My first project is something with Strawberry Lemonade and I'm leaning toward Sherri's pattern for Coastal Summer. That collection just speaks to me! The quilting industry: I have no idea! I have long covid and found FQS through a cross stich rabbit hole. My grandmother had hand quilted her entire life but I had never tried. Kimberly's videos and tutorials are so easy to follow, it gave me confidence to attempt a quilt. So far, I love it!!!! I'm slow as I can only quilt around my job and long covid symptoms. I just enjoy everything! My niece is graduating high school next year and a quilt for a dorm room would be a nice gift. Shoreline has all of her favorite colors.
The first quilt I will be working on is Mercantile. I am super excited to get and make the Quilted Snowman, Quilted Scarecrow, Holiday Sampler, & Decorating the Tree. All Lori Holt quilts. She really out did herself for this new year, absolutely beautiful quilts!

I am looking forward to the Charity quilt, I am so excited for it to come. I stop everything I am working on and complete it. That will be by first 2024 big quilt project. I have way too much planned for 2024. My first goal is to finish some UFOs that only need something simply done to them. (2 done) I received my Ruby Star Club today so that will be my first project and my January door banner. I have pre-ordered fabric for the A Quilting Life BOM. I will have to live to 500 years old to finish everything I want to do.

I am not sure what I am looking forward to from the quilt industry as a whole, but I can tell you that I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Corey's new "Starberry" Collection, am attracted to Fig Tree's "Denim and Daisies" collection and love all thing Bunny Hill and Anne Sutton, Primitive Gatherings and on and on. My first ever quilt will be a Lori Holt one. I am new to machine quilting. Started last year with EPP. Practised with machine quilting, making things for Christmas. My first quilting project is to finish a UFO (don't know which one) then maybe start on Millie's Dresses using scraps from previous projects. I am looking forward to two lines coming out for Christmas: Kitty Christmas by Urban Chiks and Once Upon a Christmas by Sweetwater Road. I think these will look really cute together.

My first quilt to start in 2024 is going to be a long promised log cabin quilt for my husband using Kansas Troubles fabrics. What I’m most looking forward to in 2024 are the Lori Holt fabric releases and SALs. 👏😍

The first quilt I’m going to do is the Lori Holt Scrappiness Is Happiness quilt along quilt. Then, rather than catch up on all my unfinished quilts from last year, I’m moving on to the Mercantile quilt, in the hope that a big success early on this year will motivate me to go back to previous uncompleted projects.
My 1st quilt is Barn Star Sampler. I know I’ve had the fabric but super excited to make it. For 2024, I would love to make the beautiful quilts that I’ve already purchased fabric from FQS. I paused to make Christmas & new baby quilts that everyone absolutely loved. Thanks for all the inspiration.
The first quilt I’m going to make is the crazy heart quilt with Lori Holt heart paper. I am doing it in light hearted. I have 5 projects either that fabric line bi just love it!! I love all the paper piecing and look forward to more items! Thank you FQS for all you do! 💕

I started making my grandson a monster truck quilt for 2024 Christmas, so I am currently working on that. I also need to complete my Joyful quilt along from Lisa Bongean and I want to make some placemats for my dining room table. I will be participating in Lisa Bongean's Garden Gatherings mini quilts this month also. AND I will be getting my CUPID box at the end of the month to play with MORE fabrics 🙂
My daughter will love Lori Holt’s vintage dress pattern. After I order Mercantile fabric, I will start! I just love the color of the year! I very impressed with the quilt industry’s creative ideas how to enable us all! The decisions are endless.😳

The first thing I’m doing in 2024 (already started) is doing a donation quilt for a silent auction for someone who has stage 4 cancer.
The thing I’m excited about in 2024 from quilt industry is the new fabric lines coming out! So many pretty ones!!

The first quilt that I want to work on in 2024 is the sew sampler pressed flowers QAL. I have a toddler so it's been hard to get anything done lately. The thing I'm most excited for in quilting this coming year is for the Flower stand BOM quilt. It is gorgeous! 😍
My first quilt for this year is actually a roll over from 2023. Lori Holts hometown. It’s really challenging me and I love it.

The first quilting project for 2024 is Baby all wrapped up! My four year saw it and had to have it, it matches her puppy. Our dog is a miniature Dachshund.
The first quilt I’m going to make for 2024 is The Greatest Gift by Bee Sew Inspired and I’m looking forward to working on my Laundry Basket Quilts projects. I have 3 in the works for the year so far.

I was watching you on A quilting Life this morning . You made a comment about rulers all over your table. I had the same problem. I solved it by placing a clear rectangle box on my table. It is 6x12 inches and three inches deep. It holds all my square rulers… up to 10 1/2. Also my lock block and easy square triangle rulers! Handy but not in the way!

I'm researching patterns that would be good for both bride and groom. My grandson proposed to his longtime girtfriend on New Years Day! This quilt would be the main focus of my quilting in 2024. I have three quilts just returned from the longarmer so I will be busy sewing bindings. Loved the review of all the fabric available-such variety. Thank you Kimberly for the inspriations.
My first project of 2024 will be Blockheads block of the month. I'm doing a few BOM so I should have a few nice quilts by the end of the year. I also purchased a few quilt kits from FQS over the holidays. I'm super excited for the release of Strawberry Lemonade. I reserved mine and it should be shipping any day.
Starting this year finishing up 2023 block of the month from my quilt guild. Excited to pick fabric and start on a baby quilt for a new grandbaby arriving this year.
My first sewing project this year was a Taylor Swift themed insulated lunch tote for a friend.
First quilt of 2024 is using some of my stash fabric to make a modernly bright quilt front based on the FQS Heartfelt charity quilt backing pattern. Heartfelt was one of my favorite charity designs by FQS and a pattern designer.
I am sad to hear donations have been down as Make-A-Wish is such a worthy cause. Sampler block type quilts just aren’t my style/taste but I truly appreciate the time & thought toward FQS charity matching cross stitch patterns bc I lean into sampler styles in that fiber art. ❤

My first quilt of 2024 was the Feathered Star from Fat Quarter Shop, next up is another pattern from FQS ..Heartfelt quilt along. I’m really looking forward to the new foundation papers coming out , can’t wait !
My first new project for 2024 is super bloom in English garden by laundry basket quilts. I'm always excited by the mystery quilt alongs and all the new fabrics being released..
My first project is the 2024 temperature quilt. I’m making 2, one for me & one for my bestie because we are weather nerds. I am most excited to see (hopefully) more 108” wide backs. I love these for larger quilts & would like more variety.
My first project is to finish the Peti Four QAl. I'm loving it. Didn't think I was going to like the 4 inch blocks as much as I do. Next will probably be the Vintage Sunburst QAL and then possibly the Moonbeams QAL or the Millie QAL. That should keep me out of trouble for the beginning of this year, lol. I think the Foundation Paper piecing is the most innovative of the quilting industry right now. I'm really enjoying doing some of my blocks this way. Kind of takes the mind off of things. Looking forward to seeing what the industry brings this year. Everyone is so creative! Love the new giant blue and white mug!!!! Keep the awesome videos coming. As for me, I can't sew anything right now because my machine isn't working. As soon as it is I lan to start with the heart quit! My first new projects for 2024 will be beginning working on the A Quilting Life BOM and Moda Blockheads 5 blocks. My first UFO to finish will be the FQS Charity quilt Bountiful......it has been a slow process for me, but I love it and can't wait to get it to the long arm quilter. LOVE the new FQS mug/tumbler - color, size, handle, just everything!

My first project is something with Strawberry Lemonade and I'm leaning toward Sherri's pattern for Coastal Summer. That collection just speaks to me! The quilting industry: I have no idea! I have long covid and found FQS through a cross stich rabbit hole. My grandmother had hand quilted her entire life but I had never tried. Kimberly's videos and tutorials are so easy to follow, it gave me confidence to attempt a quilt. So far, I love it!!!! I'm slow as I can only quilt around my job and long covid symptoms. I just enjoy everything! My niece is graduating high school next year and a quilt for a dorm room would be a nice gift. Shoreline has all of her favorite colors.
I look forward to finishing a few projects that had been set aside. Then making quilts for my sisters!
The first quilt I will be working on is Mercantile. I am super excited to get and make the Quilted Snowman, Quilted Scarecrow, Holiday Sampler, & Decorating the Tree. All Lori Holt quilts. She really out did herself for this new year, absolutely beautiful quilts!

I am looking forward to the Charity quilt, I am so excited for it to come. I stop everything I am working on and complete it. That will be by first 2024 big quilt project. I have way too much planned for 2024. My first goal is to finish some UFOs that only need something simply done to them. (2 done) I received my Ruby Star Club today so that will be my first project and my January door banner. I have pre-ordered fabric for the A Quilting Life BOM. I will have to live to 500 years old to finish everything I want to do.

I am sewing "Heartfelt" and I am using the "Beautiful Day" collection from Corey Yoder. I am not sure what I am looking forward to from the quilt industry as a whole, but I can tell you that I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Corey's new "Starberry" Collection, am attracted to Fig Tree's "Denim and Daisies" collection and love all thing Bunny Hill and Anne Sutton, Primitive Gatherings and on and on. My first ever quilt will be a Lori Holt one. I am new to machine quilting. Started last year with EPP. Practised with machine quilting, making things for Christmas. I'm so excited to finally trust myself and so glad I found FQS on RUclips. There are so many projects for 2024, thanks to your videos. ❤
My first quilting project is to finish a UFO (don't know which one) then maybe start on Millie's Dresses using scraps from previous projects. I am looking forward to two lines coming out for Christmas: Kitty Christmas by Urban Chiks and Once Upon a Christmas by Sweetwater Road. I think these will look really cute together.
