I have had PCOS as long as I can remember, and it has wreaked havoc on my body. Before conceiving my first, I had over a dozen miscarriages, and had to take progesterone to stabilize both my pregnancies that went to term. But my first i had pre-eclampsia and had to be induced,then had gestational diabetes with my second and had to delivery via C-section with my second. But I've done nothing but miscarry and had chemical pregnancies since. I have had ovarian laproscopy, clomid, letrozole, taken a multitude of meds to help with hormones and thyroid, checked for Cushings and Hydroxyprogesterone deficiency and have extremely painful cysts bursting. My husband's fertility is fine. But now.... I'm 3.5 years and I cannot get pregnant. My periods are light and irregular and I am losing hope. What else can I do!? I swear I've tried everything...and I cannot afford Ivf, iui, or icsi...:'(
I have pcos I have elevated prolactin levels, I take prolactin medicine to keep my prolactin low even at figure 1 I didn't conceive, my cycles are regular plus I ovulate naturally , I have good lab results for progestrone but still not conceiving.

I was diagnosed with PCOS in march 2022 after TTC and going off of BC in July 2021. I was referred to a fertility specialist but never went bc I got pregnant in May 2022. Never got my period since going off birth and my doctor told me might be that I was still ovulating with no period. Just blessed that everything is going well with the pregnancy and baby girl is healthy.

I was diagnosed with Lean PCOS, but I am not sure any longer whether this is accurate.
I have the classic pearl string image on both ovaries, have irregular periods (anything from 29 to 59 days cycles), irregular ovulation (based on zero progesterone level tested on day 21), on day 3 my FSH is 15, my LH is 8 (ratio 2:1), my largest follicles are below 8mm on days 10,12,14,16. Testosterone level is below 0.07, and all other male hormones on the low range. BMI is 21/22, clothes size 8/10 without much fluctuation. Battling fatigue despite (almost) zero sugar diet, yoga, low impact exercises etc. In my teens I was an athlete and later ran marathons so exercise did play a bigger role than in the last two years. Will turn 36 years next week. Have not used any contraceptive methods since 8 years. Which direction should I be thinking? Anything else that is striking apart the low ovarian reserve? Does this sound like lean PCOS? No hirsutism, acne or any of the other symptoms except polycystic and anovulation.
What would you recommend?
Donor eggs or surrogacy is not an option for me.

I’m 25 now and when I was 17 I was diagnosed with PCOS , I tried losing weight like they suggested but never got any support from my doctor, all she said to me was, I would never be able to have children and since then I’ve been so depressed. I’m glad that there are so many people who have the knowledge to help women with PCOS now. I’m married now and want to start my family really soon so I’m doing as much research as I can whilst actively trying to better my lifestyle.
I went through the same thing I just turned 25 on May . I was diagnosed at 19 and she told me I would never be able to have kids and she said lose weight you’re obese (I’m not I’m chubby in certain areas do to pcos) I’ve always been depressed since then but there’s a few things that did help me lose a few kg

@@Habibatmamaha921st and most important thing in this journey is mental health. The more you get depressed that much more it will mess hormones up. I have pcos too with 2 kids. Both conceived without any medication except metformin.
2nd step is avoiding all the processed foods. It doesn't matter you are obese or underweight. Avoiding processed foods including chickens, and dairy products helps a lot.
3rd castor oil pack.
And when you use castor pack always keep in mind that its just to clean uterus and not to conceive. Because if you think too much about conceiving it will affect hormones and then all the efforts will be affected.
I have been Diagnosed with PCOS this month I have been going to other doctors but didn’t tell me all this while I have been suffering from pcos, until I finally changed my primary doctor, and went with a newest doctor that told me I have polycystic ovary syndrome, it does make a lot of sense while I am unable to get pregnant for the past three years.

ive have pcos and been trying for about 7 years and haven’t had no pregnancy or no ovulation, i went to a fitility specialist who had me take these test and gave me thyroid medication, now ive been taking thyroid medication for 5months and i also quit seeing my firtility dr because i didnt like how he would speak to me, i am 22 and havent had my period in like 8months . ive honestly gave up already but watching your videos gives me that “HOPE” back 😕

My life have not been the same since the depo shot. My cycles was messed up from there. A year after being on depo I got tested because I didn’t have a cycle. I was then told I had pcos. I went to a second doctor for another opinion and was told I didn’t have pcos. And that I can take the birth control pill to regulate my cycle. I was on birth control for 10 years this year. I told my doctor I’m done with taking the birth control. She told me that I should see my cycle in 6 months. However I did not have a cycle. I did go back to the doctor a few days ago I did an ultrasound and they drawn five tubes of blood. I found out this morning that in fact I do have pcos. And that I have to take progesterone in order for my cycle to appear. 😢
Hi Dr. Sklar. I was diagnosed with PCOS last July 2020. After I knew about it thru TVS. I started to gain a lot of weight. And last year April 2021, I got my bloodworks and found that I have hyperprolactinemia and hypothyroidism. I was able to manage it by taking Parlodel (which is very expensive) and Levothyroxine. After taking it for 3mos everything came back to normal. And I wanna ask if is there any chance that it come back aftrer treating it? Or how will I be able to maintain it in a normal range?

My husband and I got a positive test in 2020 we had an ultrasound done and they told us we had a Blighted ovum pregnancy. I never knew that existed. We been trying since and nothing. hi, I am 40 years old, been married for 9 months and never had children. I have regular monthy period (I know because I have a tracker). I have a PCOS left ovary but a healthy right ovary, Retroverted uterus. I bought test kits to check if I ovulate and I was disheartened that I came out negative. I wonder if I could still get pregnant considering all those things I mentioned. 😢

Iam 26 year old. 5 year ago diagnosed as both overies are policystic morphology (follicles average size 3 to 5mm), after the two scanning detected no significant abnormalities.
I had it checked 1 week ago and diagnosed:
1. policystic morphology (left overy)
2. AMH - 0.96 ng/ml
3. Haemoglobin - 10.8 gm/dl (anemia)
4. Prolactin is normal (12.92 ng/ml)
5. TSH is normal (1.245)

I didn’t have my period for a year, after getting off of birth control that was taking for 9 years with no stop. Just by taking inositol every night I gotten my period for now 9 months in a row. Working forward to having a period every month for a year. Is it possible to be in some type remission since I’m getting my period back?
I haven’t found a doctor to tell me I have pcos but I have always had the systems and have never got pregnant. No one seems to be able to help me, it’s like I’m begging for someone to diagnose and treat me but they have not a clue
Great video! I am a full time UC student and not ready to get pregnant. My first PCOS symptom was high androgen with occasional hair loss and bad acne at age 16. At age 18 I started to see some facial hair and sudden weight gain, anxiety, insomnia. All of last year from 19-20 I have not had a cycle, only irregular spotting. I have tried improving my sleep, lowering my stress, eating whole foods, eliminating all caffeine, working out 3-5 times a week and supplements. In the last 4 months I started ozempic at the lower does to help me with insulin resistance, It has been very helpful to eliminate cravings and it even helped me loose 12 pounds. I have a copper IUD as my form of birth control because I wanted to reduce additional hormone overload from birth control. I would like to have a cycle and ovulate even though I am not looking to get pregnant. Can I letrozol be used occasionally to stimulate ovulation and jump start a cycle?
I'm going to a fertility doctor now I just got surgery done on May 11th to get my polyps removed and they scraped my womb because they said that my Lani were too thick so I went back for my two-week check-up she was asking me what do I want to do far as getting pregnant I told her I need her to tell me because I don't know she's a fertility doctor I'm just a patient trying to see what's going on with me and where to go from and that's what I told her

Not sure if I have PCOS - my periods are super regular and usually normal (after the birth of my first child, the periods are lighter and easier). I have the regular fertile days (check them regular with the urin test) and also see the change of cervical mucus. But I have gotten hirsutism so I am not sure... would love to get more information 🙏🏼

Hi doc... I'm 29years, trying to conceive for more than 4years now.. My tube's are patent, I have mild hypoprolactin, and had an anovulatory circle. I was diagnosed with pocos and been trying to get pregnant for 2 years now. 2 1/2 years ago I go 2 depo shots and was supposed to go back for my 3 shot on April 17th 2021 but didn’t because we decided to try to conceive and this April 17, 2023, will be three years of trying. Well I am watching this video after 2 years it has been posted and maybe I am too late and asking a question but my question is that I get regular periods every single month on the exact dates my cycles are very much regular but I do have the other symptoms of pcos and I had been diagnosed with pcos 5 years ago and with medication I was able to regulate my cycles but I am having excess facial hair growth and other pcos symptoms my main question is I will be getting married 2 years from now and we will be trying for a kid after a year of marriage will I be able to conceive because my cycles have been normal for a very long time.
I felt my doctor was lying to me when she said I’m not infertile but I do have pco, I felt like but isn’t pcos means your infertile, I’ve done treatment twice and my cyst are gone naturally thank god and she said it’s me estrogen that the problem only, my egg count and lining are great and she said in her words “your body is ready for a baby” but I’m like😅 wth it still hasn’t happened but I have a new doctor now and she said only thing she wants to see is if im blocked, she said a lot more but basically maybe something is blocked in my ovaries or tubes or something and I have no insurance so have to come up with 2k just to check to get the scan done to see if everything is flowing thru right now😂 I laugh it off but I think the only thing that gives me strength to keep trying is that 2 doctors said I’m fertile but that have me under having problems getting pregnant I started treatment 4years ago and I’m 29 now and im engaged❤ im just hoping this new life brings a new bundle of joy
