- We met Alberto and Marina in Italy last November, in Tremalzo, at the top of the Italian Alps.
Then they joined us in Portugal. We had such an amazing time traveling with them and discovering some great beaches along the coast.
Alberto is a freelance copywriter and SEO expert. For the past several years, he's found the possibility to work remotely online while traveling.
They now live full-time in a van just like ours.
In this video, he shows all the features that come with an original Westfalia camper van and also all of the upgrades they've implemented in order to live full time in the comfort they need.

I wonder what struts he used for the lift-assist of the poptop roof, and how he installed them. I'm looking for a solution to do the same thing without drilling the roof.
If I remember well Alberto use the one from an opel Tigra, or I bought them at Serial Kombi

Ciao Alberto, sono interessato a comprare un T4. Sarebbe il mio primo camper van. Abito in Uk, quindi lo comprerei li ma con la guida a sinistra. Me lo consiglieresti come primo camper? Poi volevo chiederti la cosa più importante, che lavoro fai? Io sono designer di animazioni quindi starei praticamente attaccato alla corrente con laptop e forse anche uno schermo da 27” per 8 ore al giorno. Pensi che sia fattibile o sono solo un sognatore se penso di poter lavorare “da casa” in un van? Grazie
ciao Matteo, sono Armando. Ti rispondo io visto che Alberto è sparito e comunque ha venduto il suo T4. Il consiglio è: non comprare ma affittane uno. Un furgonato piccolo come può essere un VW, un medio come ad esempio un Ducato, Sprinter, Iveco oppure anche un camper vero e proprio. In questa maniera riesci a valutare gli spazi e capire cosa ti serve e cosa no, senza buttare via i soldi. Per quanto riguarda il lavoro anche io mi occupo di produzioni video, montaggio e animazioni. Sul mezzo servono sicuramente pannelli solari e batteria al litio.
