I finally took my first trip out to Montauk this season. It was early June and i was hoping to find a few bass on my first trip out east but after fishing all morning and not getting a single bite i moved around a little bit and got into a good blue fish bite! I caught my first couple fish on tins then i switched over to topwater and it was lights out! Ended up catching a couple nice sized blues and even had a double header!(2 bluefish on 1 plug!) Best recipe for blue fish, clean and fillet, place on a saturated & seasoned piece of cedar or hickory wood, slow and low, cook until done and smells delicious, then last, and most importantly....throw the fish out and eat the wood
