I was looking for and at different tapestry crochet tutorials and came across this video. I use the same technique of carrying yarn from the beginning and for the same reason, consistency. Not always a secondary color if I don’t think I have enough of it until I absolutely have to. I love to crochet so sewing in ends is not something I have a problem with. I love that you get a hint of the carried yarn occasionally. It turns out lovely. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for making this great tutorial! I started my first project without a second yarn, and it did make a difference-thanks for teaching the proper technique.
I'm looking to do a custom blanket using the tapestry crochet method. I was just wondering how the pattern for this was created (I'm assuming it was a computer program or website?) thanks!
how did that go for you? i hope it’s going very well.. i’m planing one too and getting frustrated with all the research i’m doing. so i need some hope please
@@نجلاءالهاجري-ل2ض I never actually got around to making it, I started a new job and just haven't had the time, which is unfortunate. But I do still plan on doing it. Sorry I just saw this quesition! Once I finish paying off a couple things I'm planning on getting the materials and giving it a shot :) I'll try to remember to let you know how it goes. How's yours going (assuming you're procrastinating less than I am, of course)
Remember to keep checking the back of your work. After a few stitches, give it a quick glance and give a small tug to the colour that's peeking through. Not too tight otherwise it could cause puckering. Give it some trial and error until you have some more experience. I know other people also draw up a loop a little higher than a normal single crochet to account for the fact that you have to conceal yarn. That might help as well.
Add your colours in during Row 1 in the same place shown in the video. Tapestry crochet is worked the same way - conceal the colours you're not using behind the working yarn and change out for the appropriate strand when you need a colour change. But remember to keep checking the back of your work and give a small tug to the colours that are peeking through so the back is as clean as the front.

This was one of the best videos of crochet instruction that I have ever watched. Keep up the good work.

To avoid carrying yarn, I make bobbins. This is a much "cleaner". Technique!
That technique is called intarsia crochet while this is tapestry
Really helpful tutorial! I would love it if a left-handed version could be made!
Wish you would do a video of adding a border- that's so hard for me!!
Very nice tutorial! I appreciate your tips. This type of crochet is new to me.
This video was super helpful!! Thank you :)
What kind of yarn you used for this project ? Thanks
but you can see the other color that you don't need for 2 rows... ?

Great video. This is new to me. I am having a bit or trouble with my carried yarn showing through. Would a smaller hook help with that? Thank you.
Yes, and tighter tension = ]

What if you are left handed?
Very good video, thank you. 💕💕💕
What size hook did you use
It looks like a 5mm / H hook.
What if there's more then one second color?

I would like to finish the anchor but I can't find the graph on your website
If you pause the video at 00:57 you can take a screenshot and use that as the graph if it's no longer available on the website.
what app, program or way you used to make the pattern?
stitch fiddle
I'm actually looking for a tutorial where I'd have one full colour one side and a different colour full on the other side (no partans)
Possibile in italiano grazie
