    And I thought it was only ME!
    Your tip on paramotoring ‘consuming’ your life and becomes ‘addictive’ is SO true!
    I’ve been flying various machines from hangliders to fixed wing aircraft for 25 years now and have had approx. 20 hours with my new Miniplane but have become obsessed!!!!
    You touched on it with your observations re: weather etc. But is it me or do others think the same that’s when it happens, patiently for the right conditions… it’s all worth it?
    For me when it’s good it’s Brilliant 🤩

      The price varies massively, it could be from 6k to 16k depending what you want, it’s too broad to say.
      My advice would be to get on Google and find a school in NI then go from there mate

    Can you do a cost analysis of wing wear and tear as in uv damage. Flight hours on a wing before its unsafe. and harness life. also engine hours before replacement. boil it down to cost per hour. My feelings would be hurt if I knew that the 13,000 dollars I spent just evaporated after a couple of years. Nobody talks about that.

    • @DansEscapades
      @DansEscapades  3 года назад

      This is a fantastic idea Peter! I don't think I have the knowledge to do this im afraid.
      What I do know is that if you look after a wing (pack it away correctly etc) then it will last 5 years plus. The motor will always need little bits of work, either a spark plug or something pettly like that.
      It's very expensive to get into, but I can promise you it's well worth it!
      I'm far from a wealthy guy, I'm just an average 30 Yr old who is forever thinking of ways to make more money.... And I think it's well worth the cash.
      I hope this helped in some way.
      Thanks Peter

    • @DansEscapades
      @DansEscapades  3 года назад

      It makes complete sense to use the wing you trained i on, for a while. Get some serious hours on it.
      As for a wing after that, it's very difficult to suggest one... It all depends on flying style, and what you want to do. So if suggest speaking to the person that trained you (after you have some hours under your belt)

      By the way, I really appreciated your video. I’ve only recently become aware of paramotoring. It has my interest peaked. As I watched numerous videos it took mere seconds to realize “Super Douche Dell” is a complete dick. I hate to even mention his name…but for other newbies to the sport, they should beware. Besides the owl stunt (and the lies surrounding it), he’s had a student under his watch die and in lieu of promoting the sport, he just runs everyone else down.
      Looking forward to more of your videos. Be safe!

      @@DansEscapades I took Dells training twice and I will get my motor soon. As a believer in Jesus Christ I learned to forgive people. Also I peeled away all of the craziness surrounding Dell, looked at what he taught and his paramotor then decided to go with his training. His nephew runs things for the most part now as Dell is semi retired. In person he really does care about his students. The internet can be cruel at times. Is he quirky yes but his training is great. Thanks again for the video and tips.

    • @DansEscapades
      @DansEscapades  3 года назад

      Mate, this made me laugh! You are correct on the wing size. The smaller the wing, the less lift you have, and the faster you go.
      So it varies massivly, each wing has a reccomended flying weight usually (sorry if you knew all that, idk if your are looking at getting into the sport)
