If I were an insurance company with INadequate coverage on my Medicare policy, I would be sure to offer an enrollment gift to distract from the holes in coverage.
Me too. But if I do answer because I’m waiting on a repairman for instance. I make them identify themselves and what they are calling for. I try not to answer yes/no questions with a yes/no IOW caller: is this Jane Doe?; answer: is that who you’re trying to reach? *Or* this is she.
Nicole, I didn't get to see this live. I watched the "rerun" and there's a problem. At the end you're saying something about extra help and it cuts off in mid sentence. So I have no idea what information you were trying to convey. It was a very informative video and I think it will help me much this year but I wonder what you said at the end. Could you do a follow up on extra help? Thanks.
I have United Healthcare DUAL PPO SNP. Loosing some benefits in 2025. It is still excellent coverage for disabled special needs. $154 benefits card for 2025. Down from $164. I pay my internet, groceries and personal care items. 30 non-emergent rides a year, $250 vision for glasses, $2,500 dental.
Same here! Before advantage plans, I went too many years without getting new glasses because I couldn't afford them. I didn't go to the dentist for years. And going the YMCA isn't JUST for workouts, but a place to socialize that doesn't cost anything.
Low income senior here turning 65 in November. Best way to go is to accept part 'A' which you paid into your whole working life & costs you nothing & decline part 'B'. Why? You may ask?? Part 'B' premium is getting close to $200 per month & is precious to those on very tight budgets. Part 'B' doesn't cover dental, vision, hearing & just a fraction of other services. Low income people can sign up for Medicaid for these services & keep the premium you would have paid Medicare for part 'B'.
@@elenavaccaro339 ~ Either way, you're screwed. There are all manner of State programs for Seniors with low income for their dental, vision & hearing through health clinics. Most offer sliding scale programs that amount for the fraction of the cost.
@@pegs1659 ~ Medicaid will only pay your Medicare part 'B' premium when you have services. They do not automatically pay your Medicare premium each month when you do not use it. If you have that kind of money to throw away each month, more power to you. 😃
If you are very healthy, rarely go to the doctor, take very little meds, you might want to look into plans that "give back" Part B premium. I get back $164 from my plan (PPO, never do HMO). I need the money more right now. Copays on my plan are a bit higher but since I go to my doc maybe once every1-2 years it's not a problem. I only take one generic Rx so it's covered. It's good to get a reputable broker.
Mine’s not a “grocery card” it’s called an extra benefits card. It helps pay for things like over-the-counter items, groceries utilities, gasoline and for me that’s phenomenal and it saved me a ton of money. Not everybody fits in the same box just saying.

Great advice on Medicare Open Enrollment. The video was quite long. It would be easier and better to watch if it was more curtailed and shortened a little. Thanks
Confusing: Does signing up for an Advantage Plan mean you no longer have the "major medical"-type - hospital stay-type - coverage? I heard we have to requalify on a health basis to re-enroll if we ever think we may need it. What are the facts about that?
Your change of voice from high to so low, I can't even make out what you're saying. I appreciate everything you do, and I realize there's a lot of talking. I also know your soft-spoken. However, I'm 70 years old, and this is troublesome to me. Especially if I have to back up and raise and lower the volume every few mins. Thank you for all that you do.
I was hoping to hear about the costly mistakes but once again, another blah blah blah blah blah - I'm blocking all videos having to do with Medicare. I hope others do too.

I always let calls go to voicemail. Scammers generally don’t leave messages, but legit callers will.

Yes, my Medicaid pays my part B.
Check your coverage under Medicaid.
