"I had a son two years ago." "How old is he?" "Two years old." "Does he know about Phil?" NO, HE'S FUCKING TWO YEARS OLD. What is that interviewer smoking? Rat poison?
Phil had nothing to do with his son Macdaragh after Phil impregnated Macdaragh's unknown mother in 1968. Phil then went on to abuse drugs causing his marriage to Caroline Crowther to fall apart, leaving their two daughters, Sarah and Cathleen, bastards. Zero respect for Phil Lynott as a man.
I met Macdaragh alongtime ago with a mutual friend in my flat in temple bar.I was told not to mention Philo etc .he had only discovered he was Phil's son.The minute he walked in my jaw dropped .He looked so much like him.Great guy very down to earth .
Wow he only found out 10 years before this interview that he was Phil’s son. Think of finding out as an adult that your father you never knew about was a legendary singer. That would be pretty crazy.

Fascinating interview, but I wish the interviewer had just thanked "Macdaragh Lambe" without premising that he is "Phil Lynotts son": we got that for 1/3 rd of the interview. I am a fan of Lizzy & Phil, but Macdaragh is not defined by his legendary father, especially a father who was absent all his life. I hope we get to see more of Lambe, and his art which he seemed almost apologetic to talk about.
FYI Van Halen DID put in a clause in their rider about M&Ms but it was to make sure they'd read the contract - once when the promoter hadn't read the contract, the stage collapsed so from then on they put in a ridiculous clause and if it wasn't followed they knew the promoter hadn't read the contract....

Phil Lynott was certainly a' Rock Legend' but the scope of his talents weren't restricted to 'Rock' . Phil was a poet whose lyrics would consistently trump the efforts of others in the 'Rock' field.
it's weird as the story repeats a little bit sometimes. Sad that he didn't know Phil was his dad for so long. And that is a surprise to me, given Phil's background. I can imagine the effect that may have on his personality and self esteem. But he seems to be a really sound guy. Fair play to him :)
FYI - Van Halen wanted certain colored MnMs removed from their bowl of backstage sweets, not because they were being pricks, but because it proved to THEM that the people hosting the concert actually paid attention to the structural requirements necessary to host VH and their insane amount of equipment. They actually cancelled a concert one time because these condtions were not adhered to and the stage was in danger of collapse. Not that the old man would know this.
A startling revelation indeed. He is the stamp of him to be fair. I read Lynotts mother Philomena has recognised him as Phil's son. Who would have thought that Phil Lynotts son has been walking around Ireland all these years.
he had this famous rich dad and a seemingly loving grandmother yet he ended up in an orphanage. he must of had some question to ask. but the apple dont fall far from the tree hes a sculptor which is a form of art and his dad was a musician also a form of art.
Tonyo1221 Yet, when Phil met his Guyanese-born father, Cecil Parris, for the second time (shortly after Phil's band Thin Lizzy were hitmakers), his father claimed he (Phil) did not recognize him. That upset his mother, Philomena. I also wonder what's up with his sister, Jeanette? She was also born to Philomena and Cecil.

"his father claimed he (Phil) did not recognize him. That upset his mother, Philomena" No offence to his dad but he abandoned them. Doesn't matter if he sent money down, he should have been in his son's life and he chose not to. I totally get why Phil reacted that way...his dad probably only wanted to meet him because by that point he was famous and was making money. We know next to nothing about Cecil and I'm sure he's not a terrible human being but he made some awful mistakes that I have little doubt contributed in some way to Phil's demons
