We pop in the DVD, and out of no where, this comes on. At first we were cracking up and like, "Hell yeah! This is fucking sweet!" Then the guy just blows up and it was like smoking kills. We were all like what the fuuuuck. It was too funny and unexpected. Perfect timing. It's legendary amongst us 3 now.
I saw it on stand by me, while i was watching it with my brother. It's kind of an inside joke with us because no one has any idea what it is when we say it.

It technically is. One absolutely can put that much carbonation in a small can of soda. Problem: There'd be VERY LITTLE ACTUAL SODA IN THE CAN as a result. For the typical twelve ounces of soda, the amount of carbonation required for this would be about two-thirds the capacity, leaving room for extra space (about one to two ounces' worth) would leave two maybe three ounces for the actual soda itself. This has been tested, and yes, it can explode like that, though at worst it would just blow a limb off and possibly blast shrapnel in the softer parts of the body, but none of that is necessarily instantly lethal... I digress. I wouldn't buy this to drink it; I'd buy this to pull pranks on people, lolz

Would you guess this had anything to do with tobacco until that last screen came up? To whoever directed this commercial........Guess again.

I've seen these sort of anti-smoking "PSA's" on a lot of DVDs, and noticed that the movie always features the use of tobacco. I think certain studios agree to include these things on their DVDs of movies where tobacco is used. Just spitballing.

Overall it's a cool commercial that probably would have made a good super bowl commercial for mountain dew or bud light or something (minus the explosion of course)

This commercial is basically a tell tale sign that you are about to watch a hilarious early 2000's movie. It's in the beginning of With Out A Paddle and it makes me feel extremely nostalgic.
That last guy just wasn't extreme enough for SPLODE! He was weak and a poser and the SPLODE! deemed him unworthy of the extreme thirst obliteration packed into each and every can of SPLODE! It was just too intense for him to handle.
I once bought the movie Orphan at a video store. And there were these ads, now most of them were trailers the first time I got it. Then I got for a second try because I loved the movie that much, and guess what? There was this specific psa that was NEVER originally on the movie. Then there were trailers again. I’m scared, will I be safe tonight?
Might not been as good, but they could have had the person hit the ground and die if they used a taller more muscular person (or a fatter person). for precise bungee jumping they need to be individually calibrated. 10 or 20 lbs of difference could mean a few feet more distance. Probably not enough to kill a person in this sort of situation (arms could brace the impact, or even if they didn't it'd just be a concussion, not death), but 100 lbs difference could mean the equivalent of it being close to a free fall into the ground (if calibrated for the lighter person)

Plot twist! this was originally a commercial for an ACTUAL beverage, but during filming one of the stunt actors died after the last can of splode SPLODED. because of this they scrapped the product and didn't air the commercial, UNTIL the people behind Truth bought the commercial from them and changed it into an anti-smoking ad. btw not serious.
