How inviting to walk down that path with those beautiful oak trees standing to attention. Love those gnarly ones whose arms stretch out over the lawn. Just stunning. I am a tree lover from way back. Just as well you could go inside while it rained. Great shots through the window. This was an amazing visit to such a historic place. 👍🇳🇱🙋‍♀🇳🇿

Hey guys. An interesting tour. We only get to see these plantations in film and always depicted in the same way. It is good to see just how things were.
    Thanks for showing us around.
    Have a great week. 👍🏻🚶🏻‍♂️🚶‍♀️

This was a gorgeous plantation. I am sure it was very cool to see the inside of the mansion. I love the way they put the names of the enslaved people on the wall and tried to set it up as a memorial to them in a way. And they also did a great job of preserving the terrible history of the injustice of slavery. Thanks for sharing this beautiful place and its history with us!

We enjoyed visiting this beautiful plantation with you, Terri and Keith. Beautiful grounds and we enjoyed hearing about it's past with slavery. But, sadly that is our history. Learning about our mistakes and not repeating them in our future is vital. Seeing the slave quarters and old artifacts was enjoyable. Unbelievable that the outhouses couldn't be outside in the first place! Laundry is an unappealing task now, couldn't imagine it in the big kettle! We love gumbo and this looked delicious! Thanks so much for bringing us along on the tour!

This plantation is gorgeous with its tree lined entry and home, but the history was my favorite. Who knew they’d have so much of its history still intact.

Really do not like places that do not allow pictures. Sometimes understand No video if you are on a guided your. But no pictures. We do not like to visit places that prohibit pictures.

Same….doesn’t really make sense not to allow pictures. It would be beneficial because people could see what the mansion looks like and they would want to go see it in person.
