A voice and singing every Georgian must be proud of. Only this recording is enough to see that his possibilities were unlimited. I read comparisons to great Schipa. Yes,, he seems very much like him. But I see Vano more dramatic voice than Schipa. At least, Abesalom wouldn't be written for such a light voice as of Schipa's. Ditogam, thanks for uploading this historical recording. We all owe you.
Vano Sarajishvili 1878-1924) was a Georgian singer of the Opera Theatre. I would like to mention that Vano Sarajishvili worked in 1898-1920, this was the peak of his career, we Georgians have many amazing people and we lave art

An excerpt from a book by a Russian director who was working at the Tbilisi Opera House at the time: Our troupe was graced by a young Georgian, tenor Sarajishvili.
