So honest. Strongly appreciated. So sick of all these reviews of “omg everything about this item is a 10:10 from day 1.” Yet I’m over here in the real world banging my head on the wall over the $ I’m spending. Just drop $1k on shocks that the RUclips world and internet swore was a gift from God yet I’m feeling nothing. I too have it narrowed down to Mustang, Saddle man and possibly Corbin.
I have the same seat and had a similar experience. Hated it for about 300 miles. Then it started to break in. 2000 miles later and I absolutely love the seat. It does get hot when parked in direct sunlight. Probably because of the gel. I can live with that considering how comfortable the seat has become. Looks awesome too.
i love my road sofa with the back rest. for me, it puts the hips in the position i like, where the stock seat seems to pull my hips forward. i don't like the stock seat. you have shocks so you are good to go.
Good thing about us bigger riders, if a bagger drops, we can pick them up 😅 Saddlemen is the shit! Im in Wyoming so im always crushing miles to get somewhere.
Should have went with the super deluxe. No break in, its sits you back about an inch and a half ( 3.8 cm) and about a inch( 2.5 cm) up. Its firm but great for all day riding. I' ve put them on almost every bagger ive ever had.
I just got the same seat but with the red stitching. I’m loving it. I just don’t a video on it. Cover your seat up when you park in the sun. Because of the gel technology it gets a little hot.
Theres frame bumpers on both sides of the frame next to the battery. The user manual says youre supposed to take those out. Might make it a bit more comfortable for you
maybe i should have tried the saddlemen a little longer but my wife didnt like it at all. so, i got a mustang super tour seat because the back for passenger is very wide and she loves it
@@munchandthebunch yup I had to sell each and keep trying different ones and I think I finally found my seat. I’m 6ft 1 and I’m 270lbs so I need a nice wide seat
@@dlawsonlawson1582 gold ones (Ohlins HD 044’s) are linear spring, SE is progressive spring. If you ride solo, then with passenger or lots of gear, progressive works best. Linear is best if it’s always ONE style of riding.
Sadly you cannot use this seat, OR the Mustang with SADDLEBAG GUARDS! I'm running the Mustang, after I had it for a bit, I ordered the slider style bag guards. I got the seat to fit, however, the top mounting bracket for your bag guards that mount on top of the frame, and UNDER YOUR SEAT causes the pan to push into the seat, it doesn't look bad, but after a few hours causes the bottom of your thighs and butt to hurt. STUPID uncomfortable. with the bag guards removed then the seat is OUTSTANDING! SADLY more frequent stops are needed before you really want to. I was gonna purchase your seat until I read on their site doesn't work with bag guards. my old Mustang seat I had for 14 years. it would fit the 24. bummer

Thanks for the honest review.
It just gets better and better...
Good review sir! Not just an unboxing and initial thoughts. I liked how you went for a ride and continued the review. Great job, thanks!
@@Dixifrog thank u. Glad you enjoyed.
Great drone shots man!

I see a lot of rider reviews. Not so many passenger. What does you daughter think of it?
Road sofa on my '22 heritage, 14,000 miles so far, still comfortable as new, great seat.
Great video 👍🏾
Thank you!
I love the saddlemen
You're a big boy
Did you do a rear shock swap? If so, what did you swap it to?
Took my RS LS about 2000 mile to really break in. Also the gell does get hot I try to put the cover, or a towel over it if it is in direct sunlight.
@@natedog_37s29 thanks for the tip. Yes… quite hot.

How long did it take to come in??
3 weeks

How do you like the SE ohlins? Is there a difference in those vs the gold ones without the SE branding?

Is the road sofa seat the extended reach?
@@nappyleon yes it is.
That may be where the heat coming from
Yo does it has gel in the seat
