This is a men's parlour and as you saw a very raw one with the hard massages and finger in the ear kind of stuff... I would advise the lady to not get a massage there as it would be a little invading of the private space especially for a woman. Don't go by comments Whatever you paid is a fair price. In India people don't want to pay fair price for labour. This is the reason there is a gap between rich and poor in India. A haircut in Mumbai, India costs somewhere around ₹100-150 which roughly is $1-1.5 in most local salons. There is no culture of tipping. These poor chaps have to pay electricity bills (Mumbai has the highest per unit cost of electricity in India) to Mr. Adani, Property rent (again Mumbai has the highest property rent in India). The only reason they are charging less is because they dont want customer to run away to other competitor. This is a local salon if you go to a salon in malls and hotels you will see they charge around ₹500-1000 for a haircut. Mumbai is a different ball game altogether ₹1000 is my minimum daily expenditure in Mumbai.

😮 Not only this, even after robbing the foreigner of Rs. 2800, the barber was still not satisfied. The barber felt that Rs. 2800 was not enough. So, the barber was cleverly asking for a tip from the foreigner as a good luck wish. Just think how shameless, rascal and cheater this barber is.

This is a men's parlour and as you saw a very raw one with the hard massages and finger in the ear kind of stuff... I would advise the lady to not get a massage there as it would be a little invading of the private space especially for a woman. Might not be the case here but unfortunately when you travel around here got to keep women safety in mind.

Don't go by comments Whatever you paid is a fair price. In India people don't want to pay fair price for labour. This is the reason there is a gap between rich and poor in India. A haircut in Mumbai, India costs somewhere around ₹100-150 which roughly is $1-1.5 in most local salons. There is no culture of tipping. These poor chaps have to pay electricity bills (Mumbai has the highest per unit cost of electricity in India) to Mr. Adani, Property rent (again Mumbai has the highest property rent in India). The only reason they are charging less is because they dont want customer to run away to other competitor. This is a local salon if you go to a salon in malls and hotels you will see they charge around ₹500-1000 for a haircut. Mumbai is a different ball game altogether ₹1000 is my minimum daily expenditure in Mumbai.
