I agree. My mom used to go to thrift stores in the 60’s and the 70’s. I had no desire to go and look at used clothing. I got into EBAy after my mom passed but I know she would have LOVED going to garage sales and thrift shops together. Sigh
Why would you not have a big bag to put your picks in? Wear a backpack with folded bags inside. Sticky signs that say, "Don't touch" & "SOLD'". Have these in your backpack. Put the bag BEHIND the cashier's table. NOT right in front of everyone! People ALWAYS want what others have picked out.
I have told them the same thing. I saw a video the other day where someone took something off his pile and started to walk away! There are so many piles at yard sales so his stuff is up for grabs.
i love that you and your dad go.i lost my dad some years ago ,he went to goodwill every day..and now that im a reseller i know he would love it so much .he would of been my partner too for sure..
When I see you and your Dad picking together that brings back such memories I had when I would go out with my Dad and my brother. People should cherish every moment like that. Thanks for always sharing your videos.
Those super hero figures I remember grabbing a bunch well 6 for $10 probably 10 years ago and I had 2 superman ones! I sold them for $15 and $20 and I kept a superman 🦸♂️ my favorite and I had the bigger mego ones from the 70s but sadly those were lost in the flood 😢 it's crazy how prices have jumped!! I really getting some 90s figures also along with 90s star wars. I'll never be able to replace them or my childhood thing's as I'm handicap and can't get out or do much anymore and ebay is ridiculous!! Movies and TV is what I've been replacing in trying to get and occasionally nes games. This was fun seeing what's out there.
My kids had all those Alf plush, and they are in their mid-thirties. If I remember correctly the small Alf's were kid prizes from Burger King. We used to have two complete sets of the small ones and two of the large ones. Oh, the memories.
Nice finds on the Super Powers figures.. Those are ALL very collectible brand New. You missed a Brainiac though, he was the one you grabbed as you passed that tub of figures.
Where you bought the brass owl, the guy had several Zuni Native American pieces. You should've asked prices. Some of them can be worth BIG Money, especially if Signed by certain artists.
That Kenner super powers brainiac you had in your hand in the first minute sells for well over $100. If you check sold listings many have sold in the one $150 range and depending on the version one sold for $360. I tried linking the listings, but RUclips deleted the comment. I would have bought every figure in that box. Vintage toys from the 80s are too good to pass up.
I can’t believe there was a whole tote full of NOS vintage toys just sitting outside and nobody looked them up! Unless the prices were truly *that bad*! Wow just saw, $20 each is pretty fair for $100+ toys…
@@OhmegadJT Exactly. People just assumed they were overpriced at $20 a figure. Anytime you see sealed 80s toys just take 15 seconds to look them up. I understand a lot people might mistake Super Powers by Kenner for Super Heroes by ToyBiz, which are nearly identical figures reissued in the 90s, and are only worth a fraction of the price. You see those all the time.
Older Coleman lanterns are a good find. Look for "Sunshine of the Night" and check the date on the tank's bottom. Found one dated 38. Paid 20 and sold it the same afternoon for 150. I have never found an ALF anywhere and you found how many? Six?
ALF!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have you ever run into Jack (Locker Nuts) at Deanza? The Mexican leather bag is not my style, but I appreciate the work and quality of it. The cute little, $5 doll is a Kewpie doll, but it looks like a modern repro. Nice pickin', as always. There is awesome stuff in your area.
There was also aBrainiac figure in the box with those other figures. I recently sold one lose for $75. Would be a great one to keep an eye out for in the future.
I think it's so cool that you and your Dad get to hang out and go to these sales. You know I LOVE these videos!

I was going to say the same. Father n Son bond❤

I like how your dad goes with you and seems very supportive. Love when it’s you and your dad🙂
Your very kind Lisa, thanks so much for watching!
i love that you and your dad go.i lost my dad some years ago ,he went to goodwill every day..and now that im a reseller i know he would love it so much .he would of been my partner too for sure..
I would have checked out the kewpie dolls next to Yoda 16:30. Not a bolo but there are collectors out there for the older ones.
I was thinking the same thing when I saw it.

You’re my favorite picker; always polite and kind to everyone.
"Good luck with that fish" 🤣

You’re the best flipper on RUclips. Cheers, Matt
Dad is a great helper and he’s all smiles he’s glad u finding good stuff and making money
You're lucky to live in a place that has garage sales and flee markets all year long. Im stuck with thrift stores in the winter. It can be rough.
Ha, I was literally screaming "Grab Alf, dammit Grab Alf." 😂😂😂😂😂😂

En mi país no hay estas cosas...aquí guardamos TODO, no vendemos nada ni aun que no lo usemos más...
Quick tip lol when you make a pile just empty out a box and use it to shop😂..what I would do
Nice finds on the Super Powers figures.. Those are ALL very collectible brand New. You missed a Brainiac though, he was the one you grabbed as you passed that tub of figures.
