In this video, Bears' teaching is complimented by individuals and couples sharing their stories of transformation. By attending personal growth workshops at The Option Institute and using the tools of The Option Process, they have made profound and permanent changes in their lives. Some individuals have overcome lifelong challenges in the scope of a one week program at The Option Institute.
The personal growth and development programs at The Option Institute are engaging, gently loving, and very interactive and dynamic. We believe in experiential training versus conventional "in your seat" lectures. As a student, you are an active learner and participant.
The Option Institute is a not-for-profit, educational organization founded in 1983 by Barry Neil Kaufman and Samahria Lyte Kaufman. The Option Institute's 100-acre Berkshire campus in western Massachusetts provides a year-round picturesque backdrop in which to learn and grow.

I've read several of the books by Barry, and am now reading "Power Dialogues". Having studied much philosophy and self help modalities in my life, I can say with complete honesty that The Option Institute's teachings are one of the finest, most "to the core point" of the human dilemma I've found, with real solutions that work instantaneously, if you really want the truth.
I hope to attend their workshops in person one day.

    Hi, Folks.
I first heard of the the Kaufman family via Reader's Digest condensed book story in which they described how they treated a son who had Autism NON-medically and got him totally out of his autistic behavior. That would have been back in the mid-late 1970s.
I didn't hear any more about them until nearly 40 years later, around 2005, when I first heard of the Option Institute and saw that it was run by Barry 'Bears' Kaufman. I had never forgotten that name from around 40 years earlier and I immediately went looking for more information on the institute.
Sure enough, it was the same man. He and his wife had established an institute to help others with autistic children to bring their children to a 'normal life' - what is 'normal'? I subscribed to their news letter and have been following them and their 'doings' ever since. Now, there is a well-spring of their work appearing here on RUclips.
Great stuff. Thank you to the Kaufman family.
Ever since I heard of the Option Institute, whenever I hear of somebody with an autistic or Asperger's Syndrome child, I immediately tell them about this institute and the Kaufman story.
    Just my 0.02.
You all have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
