Great content Daniel! It would be great a video about the psychological side of racing. I usually get too tense before every race, no matter if it is a sprint or endurance. I used to race motorcycle IRL, but i get more nervous in iRacing 😂😂
For a future video, your physical workouts would be a good topic. How do you train physically? Do you need to worry about g-forces on your neck in a gt3 like F1 drivers?
It' s really informative content Dan, would like to see more vids like this! Could you make a video about surviving the first laps, like what are u thinking in those laps with so many cars around you?
amazing topic! been racing in real life for 20 years but always free lapping, never real racing. I realize with sim racing that I'm quick but don't know of to defend or pass properly!
I love these type of videos, they're very informative. If you haven't already, maybe a little more in depth on braking such as setting up brake bias on GT3 / GT4 cars with ABS and also cars without, like the LMP2 specifically would be great. Thank you Daniel!
@@danielmorad I look forward to hearing your suggested technique on finding the right brake balance on the sim and how it compares to your real cars. I bet some people don't even realize they can change it on the fly during the race.
I suck so much at overtaking lol im mostly scared of ruining someone else race. keep pumping out the great content !! i would maybe add some quiet subtle background music when you are talking also but thats probably just me. im not a youtuber by any means lol
Nice videos, Daniel! I really like those videos on comparing reality to sim. Would it be possible to do a video on comparing the different sim-titles (such as iracing, ACC, RF2, Automobilista 2, etc.) to reality and where each simulation comes the closest to reality?
Great content, nice editing and visuals, and superuseful information, also I've seen your stint in COTA race 2, great job, what about some onboard camera content ig possible? Thanks for this great channel again
@@danielmorad yes, seen it today, great track guide, i've think these races are great for the viewers, great action and battles for position, most of the races the drivers are close all the time, i'm a fan of the champuonship, so great job. Thanks and congrats, I enjoy also to see there are some girls in the champioship.
@@danielmorad Hi Daniel, Sorry, but I need to ask, Are this messages asking to join you in telegram a legit messages from you? You know, in these days is better to be sure before yoy click or join anything.
Yes Sir ...I liked it indeed. Dan ...it is just common sense to trust you ...the opinion of an "actual" race car driver comes from far more experience. Most of us have never been there & I for one appreciate your tutoring. Was that last maneuver called the "Dummy" what many Simmers call "Dive Bombing"? ...or do the two cars need to be actually into the corner before one dives into the inside? In your opinion ...why is this frowned upon in Sim racing, where even if you make a clean pass cutting the apex ...with no contact one gets called for "Dive Bombing" ...but it is admired in real-life racing when Verstappen pulls off those same moves?
If I recall, you finished +7 from your starting position and had fastest lap of the race. I'd say that's a great display of practicing what you preach. :)
Hey Daniel. I would like to know if the driver/car combination in front or behind you is important in your decision-making to overtake or defend your position? I can imagine you know most driver on the track very well and what driving style the have. I also can imagine that you know very well what every car weak and strong points are. Is it something you take in consideration or is it something that you can't be busy with in the moment?
after following a guy for a few laps you can see where you are faster and where he may be faster and you can definitely use this to your advantage, i guess the car would come into it as well but I think that's quite high level stuff... when most drivers are getting all form the cars....
Divebombing is when the car head is basically already turning in and aiming for the Apex and you are out of control, forcing your opponent to completely jump out of the way. Otherwise you’ll both crash. What this is, is full control, deceleration, and sticking the Apex.
Very nice & informative vids ! Keep it up ! I have a question about iRacing. Is the best braking technique of GT3 now with the current state of iRacing still like not to smash 100 % ? I’m new to iRacing (1 week) and have no telemetry software etc so I’d like to know what’s the best braking technique for GT3 cars. 🏁
I'm what I would call "average fast" in racing sims. I see leaderboard times at tracks where my fastest laps are consistently 6%-7% slower than the top 100. I feel like I'm struggling to adjust my lines appropriately, but I don't know where the major time loss is coming from. Would you consider covering improving hot lap times (based on average-skilled driver mistakes)?
Well, you sure pulled of a killer move last week at COTA at the beginning of your stint. Its just too bad Ghandour cant drive anything but a ferrari ...😢
Thanks! Great tips! Very important stuff! For all moves, a good overview is needed. And I see people trying to push you off the middle of the track towards inside or outside and if you keep your line they will crash into you. Is there are rule who has to back off? I am talking about a situation where both cars are side by side and at least 400m away from the next corner. So fighting for the center of the track to position themself for next corner. Anyway best content for simracing on youtube!
Very good tips will have to focus on them again :) Because the cuts with the two cameras are constantly distracting me. Did you know that there is a second cam? I suspect yes - so why not looking into it and cutting THEN TO THAT cam? This would keep me connected to you, talking with „me“ the whole time and not seeing you talking into a non-personal camera from the side. Just an idea - Cheers!
My favorite is a variation of putting pressure on your opponent. I call it the waiting game. Just wait for your opponents to Epstein themselves. That's like a top 5 finish right there.
@@alex.germany True, it doesn't always work. That's when you employ the tips in this video. There's also an efficient counter to this, or any other overtaking attempt. Make it look like you're erratic and about to loose it in every corner. I had a race like that recently. Battling for P1. Enough laps to go to put on the pressure and be patient. The guy ahead looked absolutely unhinged; moving erratically, dipping wheels in the grass and the dirt, almost loosing it in every corner... I thought he was going to loose it at any moment, but no... lap after lap he still held it together. And somehow he was fast while doing it. Needless to say, he won that.
#6: Punt & Pass
Oh dear. That one can be left for only the extreme circumstances
The iracing way.
Nice seeing you race at COTA this weekend, enjoying your content. Thanks!
Thank you so much! :)
Great content! Please make a video on adjusting brake balance over the course of a race.
Yessss
What if I don’t adjust it over a race? It will be a very short video 😂
@@danielmorad 😂😂😂
I feel proud that i made ¨The Dummy¨ once thanks to you and it felt so good!!
It’s so nice when you pull it off. Not so nice when you don’t pull it off haha
Excellent video!! Could even warrant a part 2!!
I agree with that
I often use the little tricks you showed. I'm a Porsche driver (in sim racing of course) and this advice is VERY useful. Merci
My pleasure. Glad it helps!
You forgot to mention the "Chrome Horn". Aka: The bump and run.
Great content, Daniel. It's really amazing to listen to a pro driver.

Hi! Love the content. Could comment on what the difference between the first overtake and "divebombing?"
Divebombing is when the car head is basically already turning in and aiming for the Apex and you are out of control, forcing your opponent to completely jump out of the way. Otherwise you’ll both crash. What this is, is full control, deceleration, and sticking the Apex.
Great tutorial - when defending, to create the overlapping, should we "lift" the throttle a bit?
Sometimes it’s possible as long as it’s predictable and done in a way that will not crash the other car

It’s still does not break and hold 100%. In some situations, you can get to 100%, but it overheats the tires if you do it too much.
Is it possible to make a video on different strategies and the strengths and weaknesses of each?
I don’t understand how I could put that together, but I can elaborate on this topic more.

And great editing 😂
