    Wow I was looking at your videos and subbed rightaway.. I was looking for a channel with Maya motion graphics tuts. Theres noone on yt who teaches these things.. please do more of those small motion graphics tuts..

    Definitely an interesting way to achieve this effect but loads of polys. Definitely depends on the style. A great way to use this method is to use planes with smoke sprites to achieve a wave of dust. That’s when it gets fun!

      Thanks Robert, you could just as easily use instancer and it would not be loads of polys ;)

    First, I'd like to thank you for such an amazing tutorial/intro into mash! Do you know how I could scale this to be bigger, but maintain the crater effect? I adjusted the size and position of the squares to be much bigger, but then the effects of the crater died down, even when scaling the scene as a whole. Any tips on this?

    At 9:20 I think you said you were going to connect the falloff object 1 to the random node, but you went on creating a new falloff object. Was that right or was it by mistake? 👀
