I love that area although never fished it, had a family holiday there at the burrowhead caravan park back in 1990, went back up again in 93, I'm 44 now. I remember walking around the cliff edges with my dad and wor max (german shepherd) there was a car down smashed up/burnt out in the rocks. Never forget that. Always look forward to your videos mate!!
thanks for the comment Keith 👍 one day ypu should go back and get among the fish 🐟 😀 👍
Hi. I'm going to burrowhead camp site on 16jul. I'm planning going to this island. Good luck guys. And all the best from Glasgow
@@Sly_hobby78 all the best bud 👍 if you get calm weather and even better sunshine too you'll have a fantastic time....be sure to go to the steam packet inn the food and beer 🍺 is absolutely top class... have a great time
What a great video, Beautiful Wrasse also, well done 👍
Thanks glad you enjoyed 😉
just been up burrowhead, was fishing 2 days and although the first day the fish were ON it was too dangerous on the rocks so had to give up! the next day was calmer but not a load of fish unfortunatly .. but i had my first ever bass and it was on a lure so happy days, great vid mate!
glad you got a few fish Gary 🐟 bass on a lure fantastic 👏
Cracking stuff lads, Robbie didn't catch many mind haha
Nope just not my day 🙃
nope
Great vid mate keep it up, fished there last year for conger and ended up with a couple clonking pollock on a 8/0 wire trace. Both took a half a Mackey.
I’m off up to Skye tomorrow till sat im assuming your due a trip up there too, weather not looking good but tides are small so hopefully Neisse will produce for us this year.
good luck sounds like some big pollack at whithorn to bait. enjoy your trip to skye I'll be there end of August fingers crossed for good weather
We are going in February and my husband is a keen fisherman. Can you point us to where you are fishing off please?
@@leahleathead8178 yes its off the point to the left of the isle of whithorn...kinda off to the keft of the white lighthouse type thing...its an awful scramble over dodgy rocks though plus february is a very poor time of year for fishing...may to october is best.. thabks for commenting
Small wrasse you say?? Got my biggest wrasse of 4.2 at burrow head on the float, back of the caravan park. Mind!! My. Pb pollack came from Tynemouth pier at 5.;10 and that's not ten past five 😄😄
thats a good wrasse and lovely pollack to David both great fighting fish...i once caught a 6lb wrasse in wales it nearly pulled me off my rock 😄 would love another like that
@@jarrowvikingsinsaneangling9785 well that wrasse puts mine to shame. Nice one. I love the isle of whithorn. We were meant to be at burrow head this week. But our cook is having chemotherapy and one has pancreatic problems. Unfortunately. Bit costly and naff if only 2 go. So we had to call it.
Fishing like this you should really be pinching your barbs, the only thing the barbs do is damage the fish.
yes a good idea that i explained in the video
