Hey Micah I was just curious have you ever thought about building a pond in your backyard like a little 12x8 pond that way you could put you some shell crackers some brim some bass some tilapia and some beautiful Koi fish you should build a pond I did mine in my backyard it's pretty easy and you have fish that you can grow and eat like the tilapia

I'm a loyal follower who loves all your videos. I'm mostly disabled now but I relive all my greatest time in the outdoors thru your videos. I've also been a chef and restaurant owner. I have a suggestion for when you want to bread your catfish. Don't just season the breading you also want to season the fish. Salt and pepper or salt and pimento and old bay. Always season the meat too.

We cook catfish a lot of different ways. We even get people that say they hate catfish to eat it by simmering large fillets in chicken bouillon for 30 minutes, chilling it and then making catfish salad just like you would make tuna salad. Thanks for the vids!

Micah, like you I moved to the south.. I lived in California for 24 years and moved to Georgia… the south’s weather is so bipolar it’s like nothing else.. 95 degrees all day then random down pours 🤣 then it ends quickly and turns hot again. Lake Murray where your videos are usually is an hour and a half away from me, I live in Augusta 👍🏻

Every day riding the finger of high adventure is a good day. I’m here right now on a trip to the north Minnesota lakes. Partly cuz i watched Micah’s videos. Today we got almost 3 limits of crappie. Bunch of big bass 17” smallie 18” largie. Tons of bass. Mad gillies. A few pike. I been riding that finger of high adventure. Feels gooood

I spend time searching for odd old recipes and put random things in sometimes to see if I can find a recipe. Anyway, I found one called fisherman's pie. It was kind of a shepherds pie with a creamy white gravy with fish instead of beef/lamb with a brown gravy. It was surprisingly good. I think I used cod though. I'm going to make it again as I actually think about it pretty regularly.

I own a tree service in Tucson, AZ so this was a treat for me.
Next time u should try frying the fish the same way but heat up butter and Buffalo sauce together in a pan then add the fry fish
think about carrying a second scale? Or perhaps a leatherman to fix things that break? lol also try cat with a double batter. use your normal flower mix then re wash with milk and egg and to some panko. super crispy.

Cat fish is really good ,and so is , snake head just let them soak in a cup of water with quarter cup of lemon juice and two tablespoons of lime juice for about an hour in the fridge or cooler ,rinse them and put some shake on them and deep fry them ranch and hot sauce on the side really good

Here's another great idea what that buffalo sauce with the catfish if you could have put them on a sandwich or something grilled bread and then put some coleslaw on it I bet it would have mellowed out and been really good I know it was good already but that coleslaw would have helped with that buffalo sauce and it comes together really great.
You should go try that spot with shrimp

The last trip me and my buddies took up to Hawaii Oregon lake we caught two catfish and when we fried them up just with salt and pepper and flour no egg none of our other friends at fish could tell that that was a catfish because of how clean the water is there and it did not taste like a catfish at all to me either so that's why they taste so clean but also when I cleaned it I took out the blood in the meat that stuff that bleeds out a little bit or whatnot I cut that out but I did do it whole I didn't fill it and man we got some big rainbow trout also up there a place you should check out but just a heads up on the catfish maybe that's why it tasted so good and no sauce necessary on ours thanks for another video and love to see more from you.
Next time you catch trout. Fry it whole and then add seasoning please lmk how it goes ! From Greenville sc

Hey Michael the best time to go fishing in South Carolina is when it rains cuz if you fish in South Carolina when it rains you will catch at least about 35 lb blue catfish I've done it before so fish when it rains and South Carolina you will catch a 35 lb blue cat they taste so good you should try it because some Buffalo Wild Wings hot sauce on it and you'll be good to go so yeah Michael fish whenever it rains today

I would like to see you try using live eating size bream to catch monster catfish.
I think with using that Buffalo wild wings sauce you could have put the catfish over a bed of tri-colored cabbage and it would have cooled it down a little bit and would have made it a little bit better or otherwise just eat some Tums and Pepto-Bismol after it. LOL but I think a bit of greens solid good greens of like cabbage tricolor cabbage would have been a really phenomenal thing with it.

Here's another recipe for you if you have croppie bluegill sunfish shellcracker whatever you want to call the bluegill you put them in a tinfoil kind of like a tin foil bag thing that you make yourself wrap them up in it put lemon and butter in there more lemon butter and put them on low heat and on top of the grill on your top grill type thing and let him sit for a while until they get their almost kind of dry but they flake off of the bone or peel off the bone and if you do fillets they dry a little bit but man when you eat them they are so delicious it's like oh so good
