I cannot believe that a responsible Channel would advocate using a flammable tyre as an indoor chair, especially in a child's room. They covered it in paint and foam, making it even more flammable and likely to give off toxic fumes if there was a fire in the house. Great project for an outdoor space, but please do not use this indoors. Normal furniture has to pass stringent fire safety checks for a reason. I sometimes think that in our enjoyment of creating a hand crafted item we forget about health and safety issues. A local tyre dump burnt for months giving off toxic fumes, you do not want these fumes inside your home.

you may want to investigate the chemicals found in normal furniture and indoor carpeting. it's surprising.
