    EXCELLENT review giving the REAL about your experience. Many try to sugar coat things. Hearing what you ACTUALLY went through is very help full. These were exactly some of the questions I wanted answers to before checking out MSC.

    Just did a seven day cruise on the Seascape. Air condition was nice and cold in my cabin as well as all the INDOOR places. The jungle pool is out door that’s why it’s so warm there , the pool has an open roof to the sky . The buffet did offer different varieties of food each day . And brunch is also included in one of the two dining rooms . The food was great ! And you can buy alcohol and soda , water once you goto a port and bring it back on the ship and use it! The only thing I didn’t like was the elevators. They’re smart elevators so you pick the floor you want to go on outside the elevator.. Then, when you get in the elevator, you don’t have to press any floor buttons, but the wait time on the elevators is all out of whack! And some of the elevators are hot . Overall, it was a great cruise. I would go again.!

      Thanks for the detailed review! It's great to hear you enjoyed the food and amenities on the Seascape. I'll keep the elevator issues in mind. Glad you had a good time overall! 🥂

    You get what you pay for. On MSC go Yacht Club or Aurea area. It is a different experience and is equal or better that NCL Haven and Celebrity Retreat for 25 to 30% less. Service and food are impeccable. If you go YC interior room you soften the cost but get all of the YC privileges.

    • @BoatBreakersNJ
      @BoatBreakersNJ  3 месяца назад +1

      Thanks for the insight! It’s great to hear that MSC’s Yacht Club and Aurea areas stand up well against NCL Haven and Celebrity Retreat, especially for a more affordable price. Sounds like the Yacht Club experience really adds a lot of value! The tip about booking an interior room to access the privileges while saving on costs is super helpful - I’m sure others will appreciate that too. Thanks again for sharing!🥂

    How come no one talks about the pool deck. Maybe we’re boring but we love setting up shop in the sun and just enjoying drinks and fresh air all day. How much space is up there. How is the music? I can’t find any review for that.

    • @BoatBreakersNJ
      @BoatBreakersNJ  Год назад +1

      There’s a few large pools, the main pool is really crowded and pretty small. The adults area pool is nice and the jungle pool is way too humid when the roof is closed. The main pool area is the only one with music.

    We did the Yacht club last year and we thought it was amazing! We booked 3 more 7-day yacht club cruises because it was so great. If you look for a deal in Yacht club they are out there and to me it makes far more sense and can be less money then buying everything individually. For example we paid $1,129 pp for 7 nights in yacht club with everything included in that price wifi, premium drink package etc... Sure you could book a regular room for say $600 - $800 but by the time you pay for wifi, drink packages, etc.. aren't you going to be nearly $1,000 anyways? You don't get the rest of the goodies in the yacht club either. I'm not rich and I'm not flying first class on an airplane they typically want $500 more per leg on flights for first class that's insane to me for 1-3 hours on a plane.. But $1,200 total to get treated like royalty ("yacht club" > "First Class" any day) all week long 24 hrs a day! Way more value there in my mind!

    • @BoatBreakersNJ
      @BoatBreakersNJ  Год назад

      Hey thanks for that info! You know what acty Clint, a friend literally just said the same exact thing... It's better than flying first class! I guess I have to look for a 3 nighter or something so I can afford it! I definitely definitely will try to do this soon!

    I have had some of a different experience with msc. 90 percent all great. I feel the food on msc is just as equivalent to carnival. Just edible, besides that msc way better cruise line. I did 55 cruises with carnival left them now staying with msc. 10 more cruises booked with msc.

      @BoatBreakersNJ we just finished 1 on the msc seaside. Msc meraviglia, we did that ship 4 times in past 6 months. We are doing meraviglia again out of Brooklyn in September. Then seaside, then seashore. We are booked out as far as world America coming in 2025. Just a little FYI, meraviglia has the best dinning plan and cheapest of all ships out of USA.

    Man, interesting review. No cap on drinks is not limited to MSC. I have sailed MSC on different ships. I last sailed on the Seashore, had a great cruise. I am booked again in a couple months on Seascape. Interesting comment from the bartender. Not everyone drinks alcohol. Ive sailed multiple ctuise lines. There are pros and cons to each ship. Happy sailing to everyone out there cruising.

    So we're first time cruisers, my wife and I along with our kids (3 teens and a 10yr old) booked 2 different cruise lines for a 7 day cruise next spring, MSC Divina & Discovery Princess...Still can't decide which to confirm, any advice?

    • @BoatBreakersNJ
      @BoatBreakersNJ  Год назад +1

      Hey John, personally I think the kids would have more fun on MSC but for the adults I know I would say Princess. MSC is definitely more family friendly.

      Princess hands down! We sailed the Divina earlier this year and didn’t like the ship at all. We had sailed previously on MSC but this was not a good experience. Just sailed on Princess to Alaska and the service was great. Oh and btw, the MSC app wasn’t supported on Divina which in this day and age is a joke. The Princess app worked great and the medallion experience was cool and worked good for us. Hope this helps

      Hey! I think it depends on the email offers, we just got sent another offer today for free drinks and Wi-Fi included. I would call the cruise line and try to get that added in.

      I've seen "free drinks and Wi-Fi" After you pay an extra $200 a person.

    • @BoatBreakersNJ
      @BoatBreakersNJ  Год назад

      That is correct you’re paying the gratuity on what the drink package would have cost. It still saves a few hundred dollars a person when you book with that offer.

    I have always went Yacht Club when I cruise MSC, I can attest to the fact that its service is second to none. Having experienced the Haven on NCL and the Retreat on Royal; they simply don't quite measure up. Having grew up in Europe, I prefer MSC, the food I have found to be non American for the most part, but good. Let's be honest its better than most of us eat at home by far. The elevators when in the yacht club bypass every floor to go to your floor (that upsets a lot of people); but I guess if you pay for that you get it. The ships are always clean and well appointed, classy and elegant. I have been on 30 plus cruises and MSC is without question a ship to be taken seriously in regards to value, elegance, and experience.

    Thank you for your video. I started filtering out MSC from my cruise searches a few years ago and because of their prices, occasional 0% single supplements, and good value for suites, I was wondering if I should reconsider. My interests are simple yet exacting. Good food, cold beer and soft drinks, and good music. Sounds like MSC is still a hard pass.

    We just did Seascape in June and had a great time. I will give you the calamari was chewy but we are not foodies so we always found something good to eat. Truthfully, we didn't deal with a lot of those other issues either other than long elevator waits. I think we are easy going travelers and are not as picky as seasoned cruisers. No offense. And in my opinion their main stage shows are cheesy for sure.
