This is Keira's BEST film yet. I am so in love with this movie. The emotions I felt watching the relationship between Joanna and Alex were raw, heartbreaking, tragic, magnetic and truthful. This is my FAVORITE movie. Have to watch it alone and be alone with my own thoughts. Reminds me of my Alex, not his real name, but definitely transports me to another time in my life that still lingers and reminds me that love, true love, is forever.
Griffin Dunne character who is "nosey" is brilliant. I love people that have that honest truth, "say what you think" without being considered impolite. It was one of the best scenes in the film. As an actor Griffin Dunne is 30 years older than Keira Knightley, so as on old chap he is curious or inquisitive, and straight to point. He wants to understand what the two think of each other. This film "Last Night",2010 and "One Day", 2011 have the same principle. If you went to University with a special friend and fancied each other a bit, you go your whole life thinking of them. For people who had fallen in love, from quite young, 16 years old onwards there is some kinda bond that is felt right in the core. You do not forget certain moments, their character and how you feel towards each other, dreaming of them. The film captured that to some degree.
This movie is truly one of the movies I tend to watch many times over. It speaks of realistic, emotive, saddening situations that speak to the core of the viewer. Superb movie and acting by Knightley and her French love.

cool interview! many time without seen her on screens. yeah, beautiful sympathy and sharpness of her mind is one of the her best arms :) apart of other obvious and natural aspects like her sensuality and unforgettable prettiness and her many others talents. The theme of Eyes Wide Shut is infidelity with Cruise and Kidman in the backdrop of Jew York. Eyes wide Shut, both are emotionally unfaithful with their money connecting them to secret societies. In Last Night the best scene is Keira Knightley in the restaurant discussing where 'too far' is their friendship from the past Last Night does not have that secret society but their wealth gives them the freedom to explore.
The messiness of life, as Keira speaks of and admires the director for, is noticed straightaway (at least by me) by the two different styles of lamps bedside ! Keira is very talented...a tad thin now, but so gorgeous and extremely talented. Eat more scones, woman ! xoxo love u Keira !

It´s not just because she´s talking fast, she also speaks very soft and her words pile on top of each other or slide together- I´m American and sometimes I can´t understand her at all.
"What is the biggest betrayal?" To a guy would be his girl having sex w/ some dude, regardless if she was in love with him or not, and to the avg girl, her boyfriend falling in love with another girl, so everything should work out just fine for the couple in the film.

Kiera I think does struggle... perhaps not in this particular interview, but for example, in some of her more recent films she is horribly sickly thin looking (for example, Atonement). I think a lot of it could be stress, or overwork, because you´re right, she appears to be fairly thin or small framed to begin with....
@rockchic21 If you look at her legs and backside you can see that she's not anorexic - people who don't eat properly do not have chunky thighs, which she has. She just has very thin arms and no bust which gives a false impression.
