  • Welcome to our review of the Nexen WNG board. In this video, we are riding this board's 60 & 99 Litre sizes.
We’ve tested these boards across a wide variety of conditions and environments, over a number of months.
So a bit about these boards
These boards feature a carbon layup construction that is lightweight and durable. It is a stiff and lively platform, that provides an immediately reactive feel. The construction utilizes a proprietary stringers design, running the length of the board between the deck and mast track, for ultimate feel and responsiveness, from foot to foil.
The compact board shape delivers exceptional maneuverability and the minimal swing weight translates into excellent pump efficiency.
Quick to plane and lift; the shape is stable in the water, and the sharp tail encourages quick water release.
The ample deck concave provides a comfortable locked-in riding position, that guides and supports fluid movements on deck, and the generous nose rocker grants the rider extreme forgiveness in the chop; it’s shaped to repel ocean contact, which becomes increasingly useful and appreciated the stronger the wind and the more animated the sea becomes.
All of these design elements create a wing foil board that is truly designed to perform
We can show you a closer look at the board's maneuverability and post-jump landing recovery quality, from the rider's perspective.
From the footage, you can see how compact this board is, looking towards the front foot, there is minimal nose overhang, and in flight, this translates into an extremely enjoyable level of maneuverability and freedom upon the board. The more invisible the board feels underfoot, the more immediate and responsive the foil becomes, and the more direct your connection to the water is. The board’s unique proprietary spines tech is fundamental to the directly connected feel, and instantly responsive ride.
It’s easy to notice how the generous nose rocker assists with post-jump landing recovery; the shape bouncing the rider off of the water's surface, and away from the freshly unearthed ocean spray. This shape makes it a lot easier to recover from the submarining that may otherwise be inescapable, with other shaped platforms.
This board is accessible to riders of all levels and abilities, but when the more challenging conditions emerged, we found this design to shine.
