    Thank you. This felt genuine. Some newborn essential videos are ridiculous telling women they need to spend $300 on a crib mattress.

    The Boon rack is great! I have ours for years and keep using it for regular dishes. But it has to be clean regularly. If water sits in the bottom for days it gets moldy. Just put in the dishwasher and if is too bad with mold, just let sit in a bath with detergent and vinegar.😊

    I’ve tried many different carriers and wraps with my kids. For the newborn phase, both my husband and I liked the ErgoBaby Embrace the best! After baby gets older Lenny Lamb “Lenny Go” is hands down the most comfortable carrier I’ve used and I have three of them. Tula is a good 2nd choice.

    We used the Baby Brezza that also dispensed formula but the water one looks convenient as well. If you end up combo-feeding or formula feeding, it saved so much time. And for my sanity, it made it easier for my husband to feed our son and we would take turns at night. You can adjust what temp you want the water (body temp or warmer).

    You are glowing !!! 💖💙
    The pack and play is fantastic with the change table and bassinet. I used it with both my kids- it was a life saver. With my second child, I wish I had two of them, one upstairs and downstairs because she absolutely disliked sleeping in the halo bassinet. We ended up bringing the pack in play in our room so would could sleep at night and during the day she would sleep in the swing for nap. We had the same swing for both kids the one you are looking at and they LOVED it!! Totally worth every cent.

    A word of caution with the Baby Brezza. The one you showed that only dispenses hot water would probably be fine, but I wouldn’t use the one that heats the water and mixes it with the formula powder too. People have had issues with their babies not growing properly because their Baby Brezza was not dispensing the right ratio of water to formula powder. Very young babies even run the risk of water poisoning if they get too much water and not enough formula powder. I bought that swing that you showed and it was my #1 item that I was so grateful that I had. With my last baby, I used it every day from the day we came home from the hospital until my daughter was over a year old! She only wanted to nap if she was moving and it saved me from every nap having to be a contact nap in the baby carrier. If you are worried about the price with not knowing for sure that it will work for your baby, I see them for sale gently used on Facebook Marketplace or used kids stores all the time for reasonable prices. Mine has gone though 5 babies and still works so I know it lasts! My baby hated knotted and elastic gowns both, and would kick and cry when I tried to use them. What worked for us was the reversible zipper sleepers for those middle of the night diaper changes. I didn’t even have to take the swaddle off of her when I used the reversible zipper Halo Sleepsacks or the Swaddle Me Luxe with the zipper at the bottom for diaper changes. If I were to add one suggestion to your registry it would be milestone stickers or a milestone blanket. When my baby turned a new month I would put her on the same blanket in a plain white onesie with her milestone sticker on it. I took a picture and then for her first birthday party I put all those pictures up for guests to see. I got so many compliments and it is so much fun to look back at how much she changed in that first year from month to month! I know it can be difficult to commit to doing something every month when you have more than one young child to care for, but it took me less than 5 minutes a month and I am so glad that I have those pictures now to look back on.

    My son is 2.5 months and I have that pack n play set up with the bassinet and changing station in my living room and it’s a must! The baby gowns are amazing I loved them on both my babies. I also recommended the plain white long sleeve onesies from gerber baby with the hand covers. It’s perfect for Florida babies durning the day. Also if you’re going to roomshare with baby the slumber pod is great to create some separation between you and baby when they become more aware. We started using it with my son a couple of weeks ago and he’s sleeping so much better. The slumber pod is amazing and worth every penny for vacations to put over the bassinet/pack n play 😊

    all we had in the 80s was a mechanical swing that u had to wind up like every 10 min........ no pack and play- just playpens, no products to lay a baby in aside from a crib, moses basket, bassinet.....no bouncers or monitors. All we could sit them in was their car seat that we would bring into the house every day.....

    • @jessicaely2521
      @jessicaely2521 Год назад +17

      This isn't true. You didn't have products to move baby. I was born in 1981. My mom had a swing for me, baby bouncer (this was invented in 1963), mobile, white noise machine, baby monitor (this was invented in 1937), and a soft structured carrier. My mom never used my carseat inside the house. She used the swing, bouncer, soft sided carrier, and Moses basket.

    Don’t buy the super expensive baby swing! By the portable cheaper $80 ingenuity swing. Small, easy to move around if you need to, definitely smart if you don’t have a ton of space for baby gear! I actually bought mine used in excellent condition for like $30 and it’s lasted me two kids so far 😊
    When we had our second child we were living in a 630 square foot trailer so we had very limited space and had to have the baby in our room for 17 months until we moved into a bigger house, but we bought a mini crib instead of a basinet (and honestly it was probably cheaper!) and it was amazing! She used it from like day two of her life until she was 17 months old (and at 20 months old she honestly would still fit in it but she’s in a toddler bed now). But I loved the mini crib and it also has wheels and fits through doorways so you can easily move it from room to room if you need to.

We also had the Peg-Perego high chair and the Graco Pack and play and loved them both. I really wanted the BabyBjorn bouncer, but never got it and instead got a cheaper one that got recalled. Our baby is 2.5 months and still getting use out of it! For both of my babies, I used a mini crib next to my bed. They did well in it and were able to grow into it. I originally wanted a bassinet type of bed but I realized that each time they would get up to feed I would need to change their daiper anyway so I would have to stand up and change them rather than jus reach in and put them next to me. But I guess u could change them on the bed too. It's jus throwing the daiper, etc im up already. The mini crib was perfect bcuz I could also adjust it to the height of my bed so I could look over and see baby eye level. I kept the railing on all sides of the mini crib for protection. This worked for us 💘💕 love your videos and I learn so much 💛

    I am totally team paci from day one! I’ve always heard that if you are breastfeeding just don’t use the flat pacifiers, more rounded ones are better.
    At first my baby hated the little reclined bath chair (I think because she didn’t feel secure and it was hard), so I did use one geared towards newborns for the first 2 months or so until she got bigger, so I think the sink one you showed would be a good idea! Wishing you the best during these last few weeks of pregnancy!

    • @jes5icaP

      Informed decision making is important. Pacifier usage can cause issues for moms that are aiming to exclusively or mostly breastfeed. Pacifiers and artificial nipples can impact milk supply, especially if used in the first 6 weeks or if used excessively. It can cause low milk supply by delaying or skipping feeds at the breast. There are ways to use a paci conservatively while establishing your milk supply (only after feeds, only for a few mins, after baby is 6wk old). I’ve seen babies have weight gain issues due to pacifier use. #InformedIsBest

    • @jenniferbush5996
      @jenniferbush5996 Год назад +1

      Each mother, baby, and situation is unique. Of course, if you feel a pacifier is impacting your baby’s feeds and/or your milk supply then you should use it as you see fit. For me, all of my babies who each had unique feeding experiences did fine with a pacifier and without issues, it was such a helpful tool for us. Obviously to each his own, though.

I had HELLP syndrome and nearly died and had my milk not come in til day 5. My preemies couldn't be starved for 5 days. So they started on formula bottles and pacifiers. We were just fine breastfeeding, exclusively breastfed once they came home (they supplimented with formula in the hospital since my supply hadnt quite met the demand for the medical orders for both yet).. so by 13 days old, and I didn't wean them til they turned two.

    I tried the Hakka lady bug and really didn’t get along with it. For me it was messy and also extremely uncomfortable, it would cut into my breast and it was also way to bulky. I loved the original Hakka and just traditional round milk catchers.

    Swings and stuff that the covers can be washed I would 100% recommend buying used. They are used for such a short window of time it’s such a waste to buy new

    What is the nasal aspirator that you have? I know I saw it in a video at like 1am the other day but I can't find the video again.

    The discreet diapers legit gave me a diaper rash after, like 1 week of wearing them. 😂 but it was not fun.

    Don't get a bassinet. The Halo was awful my son just hated it, we sold right after we moved him to his nursery. Our room is big and we got a mini crib for baby two and it's been way better. Just get a good mattress for it, the ones they come with are too thin.
    You want a regular swing trust me, both kids used it and loved it, just the cheap Fisher Price. Number two would do her morning naps there (NEVER unattended of course, always only if we sit next to her).

    Dont get your kid used to warm bottles. I rarely gave my daughter a warm bottle. If you use formula all you need is filtered water. I didnt use filtered water with my daughter, but I lived in Switzerland at the time. Their tap water is incrediblely clean compared to most countries. Theres no chlorine in their water.

    I’ve been waiting for your next video. I thought it would be the movers taking the furniture to the new house. With everything going on, I didn’t think you would be able to do a baby registry video anytime soon. Remember to take it easy and rest. I know you want to do a lot, but don’t overdo it. Thank God Mimi has been helping every step of the way.

  • @ΠαναγιώταΦερετζάνη

    For the love of god, dont give the newborn those drops! I gave my son formula, our doctor was adamant that these drops will help ( back in 2018). Baby had no colic whatsoever, started the drops and immediately the poor thing experienced extreme pain, i will never forget. Never again for us. Also all baby formula has everything their little bodies need, why the extra supplement?
