What is really needed for the Goldwing is wider windscreens. Coming from Harleys I am amazed at how poorly the goldwings perform in wind protection. With their sleek appearance you would think they would cut through the wind, and they kind of do, the problem is they push all that wind into your shoulders and arms because the windshields are to narrow.
I'm in France an I have replaced the oem with a Puig clear smoked (my bike is black ). It's 15 cm ( 5,9'') taller than oem . Very happy with this windshield . Thank you for this video .
I've installed a F4 and LOVE IT. Just the downside, I should of not purchase the tinted version. Looks very good but when night falls, i'd say it's dangerous, hard to see hazards on the road
I had a 20" F4 on my 2018 and went to the 20" tall Slipstreamer (better wind protection around the shoulders IMO). Been riding with the 18" Madstad now for over a year and think it is superior. With Madstad you can ride with a shorter shield (better looking) with the same wind protection of taller shields. I'm 6'-2" tall. The Madstad is wider like the Slipstreamer. I removed the winglets and noticed no difference in wind protection. You should review the Madstad.
I had the dealership put in the larger windshield, Rear LED Brake Light, and the Entry lights. The issue is all the scratches on the bike before I ever take it for the first ride. I watched your video on the install of the entry lights and could imagine the issues with them not thinking twice before taking it all apart (Cowl) and the Small scratches on the Rear Trunk. Along with some how they scratched the outer screen for the dash. I 'm 5'9 (on a good day) I prefer looking through the shield. both rain or shine. Thank you for the video it did show the difference with the SlipStream
I just ordered one for cold weather riding. Got the discount from your code. Thanks! Have you updated this review after more miles? Is this tall windshield stable at highway speed? Will update after getting some miles in. Keep on riding!
Just attempted to order one of these and was told it was discontinued and there was not stock of the old one's. Looks like Spain's Puig will be getting my money
Good Morning Cruiseman, apologies, I should have mentioned I’m 6 feet tall with 32” inseam and the stock windshield on my 2023 Goldwing Tour DCT seems to fit well for my size. It’s important to me that I can see above the screen for everyday riding but raise it in inclement weather, however, I try my best and have been quite successful in not riding my bikes in rain. All the Best.
Appreciate this vid. Think I’d appreciate the additional width but not the height for touring. I’m one that doesn’t like looking through even a crystal clear windscreen let alone looking through one full of bugs and road ‘dirt’ on long rides. For sure, to each their own. 👍
I would never buy a windshield that has a blatant advertisement on the front as this Showchrome windshield has. If that’s removable then I would definitely consider it.
I have a tough time believing that it doesn't affect your gas mileage. When I use my upper air deflectors, it reduces my mpg by 2 at least. I run an OEM windshield on my 2019 DCT Tour.
I tried a Slip Streamer Wraparound Touring Windshield - T-268C+2, the one that is painted black at the bottom. It was made by Slip Streamer not Show Chrome. It is 2" higher and 2" wider on each side than stock. So has Show Chrome bought out Slip Streamer or does Slip Streamer make this shield for Show Chrome? I found it did lower my fuel mileage a bit and was too wide for my liking. It caused air to come up from below and hit my helmet shaking it that I didn't have before. It also caused the air to push me from behind as the air tried to fill the low pressure behind the shield. I ended up taking it off and went back to stock. The shield would just barely touch the wings when lowered right to the bottom. I am 6' tall with a 32" inseam. I think the perfect shield for me would be the same shape as stock but 1-2" taller and no more than an inch wider on each side. I also prefet to be behind a polycarbonate shield and not plexiglass like the Slipstreamer is made from. My wife gets more buffeting on the Wing than she got with our Street Glide the way I had it set up. Most of the time I ride solo though.
Have a 7jrock 22” ‘B’ Model on my K1600GA. Has a curve at the top that distorts the visual slightly, I don’t mind at all. It is way better than the original
Another great video. This looks great for a road trip windshield. I am looking for one like this for my 06 Goldwing. I am looking for gloves. I noticed yours and they look very nice. Have you did test videos on gloves by chance? Thanks again for all you videos, I’m always looking forward to what you are going to post next.
What material is the Show Chrome windshield made from? Same as OEM or same as the F4? I’ve NEVER had a windshield as easy to care for as my F4. I’m 6’3” and the 20” F4 is the perfect height for me and eliminates the buffeting I used to experience with the OEM
Just wondering what the part number is for this windshield in the size that you tested. I looked at Wingstuff and the one they’re showing says it’s by Slip streamer, but it has a Honda logo on the bottom as well as the cut out of plastic, so it’s not as low.
its a little wider than the f4 big one, but a little shorter, i live in ohio, winter time i like it better, wish f4 would make one, just like this, but a tad wider, the f4 tall offers more protection for the passanger, height wise

I have an F4 Custom +2 tinted on my '09. Absolutely love it
Very thorough review... anyone considering this windshield should have now a great idea of the size and performance of it. Well done CM!
I'm happy with my F4 Tall. It gives me perfect protection.

F4 is my choice. Love it!
F-4 custom 20in. love it
F4 custom is what I’m using.
F4 +2 20” in clear with it’s patented recurve. Optical clarity polycarbonate windscreen. Wonderful product. Excellent customer service. Nice demonstration here Cruise. Robert’s bike looks amazing too.
The neighbor using the lawnmower like a vacuum 😂😂
😂
Tell me about it.

Hello Cruiseman, I’m still using the standard Honda windshield and happy with its size, optics and performance. All the Best.

F4 tinted 2018 6 speed . Works well, and actually improves my speaker volume. Very nice. GOOD REVIEW. FASTEDDIE

Windshield looks great. Now all you need is a new 2024 G-Wing to go with that windscreen.
Completely agree!

It is removable

I can put some more info together on the gloves for a future video. I am on my third pair of these.

The Slipstreamer that I bought this spring was plexiglass not polycarbonate like the F4 and the stock shield are made from.
I will double check with Show Chrome.

Its Sat 23rd. Got my new Bagger Tee Shirt. Great looking logo's thanks for a great product... mike/turtle
Glad you like it!
How much does it cost?
I think retail is $219 but WingStuff has it for $189. wingstuff.com/products/37929-tour-windshields-for-2018-gold-wing

Wow
You literally sound like you're in your living room!!!
$219 plus tax. Not to bad.
F4. You should never be looking through the wind screen.
Depends on optical clarity. You look through your faceshield, dont, you? The F4 is clear and free of distortion.
