Baja Designs + SDHQ Raptor A-Pillar Light Mounts! // 2023 Raptor Build Ep.10

This week Matt tackled the Raptor's A-Pillar lights. SDHQ sent us some insanely over-built light mounts for the 'Ditch Light'/A-Pillar location, so we had to install them for some extra visibility! Matt dug through our stash of off-road lights and landed on some favorites, Baja Designs Squadron Sports with Amber Wide Cornering lenses. We love these lights, but might end up switching them out for something bigger in the future like Baja Designs’ XL80, so Matt's wiring harness ended up being a little more temporary than usual - but it's tidy, runs through the stock auxiliary upfitter switches and does the job perfectly. This install was not very difficult and should be a breeze for anyone with the tools to do it. The light bracket positioning can take a little finessing and you'll want to make a reliable wiring harness, but the entire process took under two hours.

You can tuck that wiring to the drivers a-pillar light under the wiper cowl and get it out of the engine area completely if you want to clean it up more.
