- I decide to take advantage of the mild weather here in Southern Wisconsin and meet up with my good buddy Collin Schlicht of Hardcore Hookin Guide Service to see if we can land a December Musky. There was weather in the area and we only had a limited time to fish. We were abler to land 2 muskies right off the bat that you'll see in this video, and got another three before the rain chased us off that i will have in an upcoming video!

Love all your content. As a fellow cast only muskie fisherman it is nice to see the bad days that you also show amongst the good days. It makes a bad day of muskie fishin for other muskie anglers a timy bit easier to swallow. Those bad days are tough but it sure makes the catch on the next trip or 3 that much more exciting. If it were easy,everyone would be catchin these beasts. Fortunately only a small percentage are part of the hardcore castin muskie club. Cheers!!

You have me 100% convinced to buy a couple of Bubbas. Do you know if Chaos will have a good selection of colors at the Chicagoland show? I'd love to get the color you fish, I think it's the Round Lake Perch, but I can't find it anywhere.
@kava8902 Lakers and perch are fun, but you should get out after some muskies!
I'm pretty sure they're going to try to have quite a few of the Bubbas, but I'm not sure on the colors.

To enforce what Colin said about speeding up your figure 8, in December 99, I caught a 42 & 43 trolling crankbaits about 3 mph. Haven't had the fortune to fish in December since. Just cuz the water is cold doesn't mean you have to go dead slow. File that in your future bag of muskie tricks.

@AnglingAnarchy Glad to hear you're still pounding water. It's kind of crazy how warm it is. We've no snow, but the lakes are iced over, though I wouldn't want to walk on it.
