You could re-organise your large hamster storage and do a hamster cage on wheels and wheel him into the hallway at night time .
That’s what I do with my little roommate :) I have a nice Ikea white coffee table modified with wheels , and at night time I just wheel him into the living room :)
Just an idea for you to consider down the road if you start to miss having a tiny roommate :)
Hey ! I had a large hamster cage on wheels which I sold last year because it was just taking up so much floor space & I prefer the IKEA DETOLF. It was my dream hamster cage for years & it’s the perfect cage for me personally.
I also don’t feel ready for another hamster because i just don’t have the time to put into caring for them as much as i would like right now. I’m so much busier now than I used to be when I first started getting hamsters. I also just want to be able to sleep in peace 🤣
I will probably get another hamster in the future. I might even get one this year who knows. I just don’t want to rush into impulsivity getting a hamster and regret it 🫣 💕

@@malicahamilton I don’t think so 😭😭 she thinks we won’t be able to take care of them because we go to school, but I already prepared in advance what I should do for a ragdoll if we spend most of our time in school. Yet I’m just too nervous to tell her because she might think another way. She just doesn’t want one, but thanks for your kind words!

Do you mind talking about your job as a pet shop assistant too? What is it like? And where do you work (like small independent pet shop or a chain one?) Thank you for the cat vlogs as always! I used to watch your hamster vlogs, but i have always liked cats more so these type of videos are my fave! ❤ (Also does bella not mind the constant food chamges cux i want to do it for my cat too but im afraid of upsetting her tummy. Haha it’s nice that you can now enjoy lots of cat content! It was never something i thought I would be making 😂 if you told me 5 years ago that I would be making cat videos I wouldn’t have Believed you. it’s nice how life can surprise you at times ☺️
The main reason why I often switch up Bella’s food because she goes off things so quickly so it’s always nice to have a backup supply of something “different”. Some cats will happily eat the same box of food for years but Bella doesn’t like having the same breakfast anymore then 3 - 4 days in a row 🥹
Her tummy is normally fine. Ragdolls can have sensitive bellies so I’ve always been wary of that. Foods that a really rich like chicken breast can cause her to have a slightly more runny poo. It’s been like that since she was a kitten. She doesn’t really have tins of chicken breast now because she went off it last year. So I just give her the occasionally tin once in a blue moon.
At the moment she’s mostly on scrumbles because it’s been the best food for her stomach! You can tell by her poops they are much more solid. I love to get her raw food occasionally because it does have that same effect it’s amazing for her belly. She loves the natures variety pouches too ☺️ so she has them most days and I will add in the odd tin of Applaws or untamed tuna and maybe a pouch of wellness core here and there just so that she doesn’t get sick of eating the same old things. Trying to mix what’s good for her belly with a bit of variety.
Some cats might be fine on a diet like this and other cats not so much. I’ve never needed to do slow transitions with Bella when introducing a new food but some cats may benefit from it. I just keep an eye on her poos that tells you a lot about what you’re feeding them 💕

I would love to work in a pet shop, how did u get in to working in a pet shop?
It’s a nice job I do enjoy it ☺️ I was looking on indeed for a job back in 2022 and saw my local pet shop had a vacancy. I applied & went in for an interview. I started a trial week a few days later and I’ve been there ever since 😂.
My CV has a lot of animal related stuff on there. I done work experience in 2 pet shops & a vet twice. I’ve got a diploma in animal care & management. I’ve had animals for around 10 years & I have an online shop selling treats , toys & cage accessories for animals. So I think that helped a little.
To be honest as long as you have customer service skills & some experience with owning a pet that’s all you need really. If you’re passionate about animals & the job you will learn quickly and pick up on things. If you’re not sure about something just ask a colleague and they should be able to help you out and explain things better.
Everyone in the shop knows a bit about everything but when it comes to small animals & cats send them my way 😂 💕
