- I traveled to Glacier National Park in July 2022. I visited the apgar and Logan Pass visitor center. I highly recommend visiting both. I am not sure why I keep calling the overlook the Observation point. It’s a habit I need to break. Sorry. So, let’s get this journey started. Love the interactions you have with the rangers when you visit the visitor center. Thanks for explaining road closures and the expectation vs reality.
I tell people you have expect the good and bad when visiting the parks period.
Love that you show the visitor centers. It's dad people over look them. I try to visit them as much ss i can.
I love to get cool things st the visitor center.
Always a great time to visit the visitor center. Logan pass got mountain Goats and Bighorn sheep right there. Just gotta remember to respect their space.
I agree. The Bighorn Rams got out of there because humans was getting to close to them.
Great video. Thanks for sharing!
If you go, you are going to love it. But get up early.
I agree. Were you by yourself on your trip? I saw only you.@@coastskyadventures2752
I have been to Logan pass. You can see many wildlife there. But visiting visitor centers in a must.
Best places to be in the park is the visitor centers.
Watching your Glacier National Park videos, I need to go back. I missed out on many hikes there. But visiting visitor center in National Park is fun to visit, especially talking to the rangers. My kids love the junior ranger programs.
I missed out on many hikes there myself. But I really need to get in hiking shape to fo them. The Highline trail took my legs out for the whole time at Glacier National Park.
I like that the visitor center have things to can touch of dead animals that was donated to the visitor center.
The bear fur was cool to touch.
It's always nice to interact with the park rangers. They normally have a dead skin animal for you to touch. That was nice information on the bears. I see the west entrance road is still not in great shape since last year.
The visitor center us the best place to visit in the park as we. Passport stamp and junior ranger program stuff to do.
Apgar and Logan pass is a plus to visit in the part. Also, St Mary visitor center too at the east entrance.
Each visitor center had something different to see in them. I always say visit all of them.
Love seeing Bighorn sheep and mountain goats just sitting at Logan visitor center. Such a treat to see. Love going to the visitor centers in the park. So much information to understand what is happening in the park and where you can't go, because of safety issues.
With no signal in the parks, the visitor center is your best source of information.
I did not know the Empire State building was built in a year. That's impressive back then. It takes several years to build something the high these days. Lots of cool information at these visitor centers.
The visitor centers is my favorite to visit in the parks. I am going to get my passport stamped as many as I can. I got two passports now to do it.
Hw 89, I would highly recommend not traveling in the dark going into east entrance. That was a scary drive. I did not know it was not finished. Hopefully the construction on west entrance is done by next year. Logan pass visitor center is my favorite. The wildlife is right there.
Hw 89 not being done. I don't understand how truckers do it. I thought it was closed at first, until I saw another car coming the other direction. Of course I was leading the pack.
nice ... thank you ma'am
Thank you stopping by.
Hopefully the construction is done before I go at the end of July. We took your advice about coming later in the summertime and not in the beginning because of the snow needing to be cleared out from going to the Sun Road. Can't wait to visit the visitor centers and everything. Also see some mountain Goats and bighorn sheep.
Good luck on your trip. It will be fun for you.
Glacier National Park is one of my top five Park. I love this park. It is such a scenery park. But you will see animals like bighorn sheep and mountain goat like right at the visitor center v
Glacier National Park is in my top five parks to visit too. Yellowstone is number one to me.
Good tips about road conditions in the park. I can never get a visual how it's going to look, when I arrive at the park. Seeing the bear claws and nice information to determine which bear you are looking at. But let's be honest, we see a bear, we are going the other way.
That is true on the bear information. We are out. 😅✌️🏃
Great vlog just the info I needed. Cross the border and check out Waterton National Park, Writing-On-Stone Provincial Park, Dinosaur Provincial Park, Frank Slide, etc
Next time I visit Glacier, I was going to have my passport ready to see the other side. Mine expired years ago.
I highly recommend to visit the visitor centers in the National Parks. Junior ranger program is the best. I got my badge. No shame. Logan pass is probably the best to see wildlife.
Next year I am going to work on getting my first ranger badge.
Two visitor center to visit in the park. Logan pass is a nightmare but just take the shuttle and you will be fine. If you go around 12pm-3pm, it's not bad taking the shuttle.v
It was barely anyone on the shuttle around those times. That's because they was on hikes in the park.
9:16 you can see bearhat mountain this far back. Look so close until you see that snow over the hill. Logan pass visitor center overcrowded. Get their extremely early to get a spot.
The snow just kept going. I wad happy it stopped when we got up the top.
Hopefully when i come here, majority of the construction is done. But judging by the short seasons, probably not. At least you get to see mountain goats right by the visitor center. But it is busy up there. Depending getting up extremely early or shuttle it.
That was cool to see that mountain Goats next to the visitor center. He was just minding his business. What I didn't like was the Rangers scaring him away for no reason.
Logan pass was packed everyday we was in the park. We tried to get up there early like at 6am coming from the west side, but no parking when we got up there. We should have stayed at the East side to get there faster.
That's crazy on the no parking near 7am. But I can understand it.
Pay attention to going to Glacier national Park. An accident did happen of a driver go off a cliff. Scary. It's beautiful here. You want to stay safe seeing everything.
It was like back to back accidents too.
Logan pass is a crowded place. Would shuttle it in. That is the best route. Unless you are getting up extremely early and you camp at St Mary campground, you are not getting a close parking spot in the summer time.
That true. Logan pass is a hot spot. The shuttle is the best route.
Apgar and Logan pass visitor centers are the visit. The shuttle bus goes to all the visitor centers, for free.
I am happy I was able to visit them both. But St mary is my favorite.
I have seen Bighorn sheep and mountain goats near Logan pass visitor center as well. I always tell people you have to visit Logan pass visitor center if you come to Glacier National Park. The two popular hikes are right there. It's just, not a lot of parking. Those red bus take up too many spots in my opinion.
I will say the red bus does take up some space up there. Which is why I say take the shuttle bus because of the parking issues in the park.
The parking lot at Logan pass is crazy. People should just take the free shuttle at this point. Let's not forget about the construction happening in the park that delays things on the west side. So, if it was me getting around the park, shuttle service it is. Unless I get into the park like 5am.
I agree. Early morning is the best time.
Logan pass area is a zoo. Would recommend coming on the shuttle and skip the driving to that area. Finding parking in the park, if not coming extremely early, is a nightmare. That's probably the only way to see these visitor centers without an issue.
The shuttle service can help visit these places without driving in your car.
Logan area is very busy during the day. Parking is a big no. So take the shuttle around to see these places and get to hikes.
Logan pass area, forget it getting parking there. Take the shuttle and call it a day.
I agree. The shuttle is very helpful.
